Bute has to fight at least three times a year. He was coming back a six month break when he fought Andrade and I think that did not help him. He's not old enough (nor at his prime) to be able to fight twive a year. He has to keep busy.

40% of people think this fight will end on a stoppage, with Bute and Taylor having an equal chance of winning before the final bell. 1/6 think Taylor is much better than Bute and will win a wide decision. 1/20 think Bute is much better. 1/7 think Bute will win by close decision and 1/6 that Taylor will. 1/7 think the fight is too close to call. Sounds like an interesting fight to me!:good

Bute had to take a break, as you say Maxime. Let's hope he will fight soon. I think he has more chances of overcoming the end of his last fight if he comes back soon in the ring. Like when someone falls off his bike. Always better to get straight back on the seat.

You are on the wrong site: this is not wrestling, where everyone acts like mad dogs to fake it's true. Bute had a great amateur career, has a good pro career so far, against pretty strong opposition. In fact, he fought 3 top 10 in the SMW division. Only Kessler has a better resume for the moment. Maybe he will lose against Taylor but if I were you I'd prefer to think Taylor is good. If Bute is a bum, Taylor will just have won against a bum. Well, Taylor lost twice to a bum, ****, so he's a bum. Every single boxer becomes a bum when you think about it. Why are you then wasting your time in following the sport? Why are you wasting my time with your stupid comments. Try to expose clearly, in boxing terms, why you think Bute is not so good and why Taylor is superior to him. But I know the answer, you can't do it.

The fight would take place in Montreal, with an American referee. One judge would be from the USA, another from Canada (the one that always gives Bute the fewest rounds) and a third from England, most likely.

why does this poll look like this?

have ya'll not seen Taylor-Spinks?....Taylor is no good with slick, fast, skilled southpaws

if little Spinks could take him to a SD imagine what a much bigger Bute could do...who actually has power unlike Spinks

hell even with Winky and Ouma, Taylors never looked good against a Southpaw....i hope this fight goes down and the odds have Taylor ahead, ez money

Here's what sean thinks about this match-up:

    Thanks, sean!:good

I think quite a few of us have made the best case possible for Bute...and we're all aware that we might look at the match-up through Bute-tinted glasses to an extent...

Bute won't run out of gas against Taylor. Bute fought many 12 rounders and has always finishing strong. Of course, against Andrade, the clinching and the Mexican charges exhausted Bute. But with Taylor it would be boxing and Bute has a better stamina than Taylor when he boxes.
