oh my bad, I didn't remember Brinkley being stopped before... well that changes things in my mind a little bit. I've seen six/seven of Bute's last fights and he is an excellent fighter but tonight was a little less than stellar. I'm just ready for him to fight Ward or Froch/Abraham or hell, even Pavlik at this point (which I hear may happen)

 

After the first Andrade fight no one trusts you frogs with with the count.

 

We know Ward has medium power because he doesn't ko his opponents in general. Go on, tell me Ward has impressive power, make me laugh. Any way you look at it, he doesn't have power.

Yes, Green is on the same level as Brinkley. Top 10 to top 20 of the division. No serious chance to become one day a champion. Athletic abilities alone don't win fights. Dawson lost against Pascal, remember? Green is a superior athlete but he would probably lose against Brinkley. Being in a gym doesn't make your opinions brighter...

 

Just buy yourself a watch and count.

 

Christ, now Brinkley is the second coming of Michael Spinks because Bute fought him. Bute shouldn't consider fighting a dangerous fight. His fans will pay him several million a year to fight truck drivers and bell boys.

Less than 10 seconds left on the clock when Bute falls.... Bute up at 8....the IBF rules clearly say he only needs to be off the floor before 10.

I must say that Bute didn't deliever a great performance tonight even if he knocked Brinkley down a few times. He didn't let his hands go and he wasn't connecting like he should !

If you were able to read french instead of writing frogs all over the place, you would already know that Bute fans want him badly to face the best competition. Maybe if you try to convince Ward to get out of the super 6?

 

never mind a guy fighting a non legit fighter for a million....the worst example is your prodigy, Mayweather, fighting for 20 million +...with a guy that's generally 3 weight classes below his and he doesn't even make the agreed weight to make sure he has all the advantages come fight night...

I can understand people saying that Bute might loose to elite SMW, but Ward will never stopped Bute. Ward dont stop anyone.

 

What I saw of Brinkley tonight was better and with more heart than anything I saw from Miranda and Green two of the last three fighters Ward faced.

 

Pretty boring fight. both fighters seemed tentative early, and even when Bute put him down, you just didn't feel any kind of killer instinct.

Still, a win is a win.

 

Jesse Brinkley..... Are you guys serious???? Another wannabe star from the contender... You could compare this fight to Calzaghe - Manfredo... These fights are absolutely meaningless.
