I got alot of respect for Brinkley.

A solid technician, with alot of heart of will. Does nothing great, does most things well.

That said, Bute is one of the elite, the very best, and he really should have finished this a bit sooner. Round 5 is proof of that.

Those dissing Brinkley have never boxed. Just because you don't have the skills of a p4p top 30 fighter does not a bum make.

Go put on boxing gloves. Congratulations. You are now the tomato cans you mock. Brinkley would take care of anybody on this site around his weight in around 2 rounds.

    No respect.

I was pleased with the end result. Bute finished a tough, pesky guy who was basically peaking in terms of his career developement.

I also feel that tonights version of Brinklely would have been very competitive with Allan Green.

So you think Brinkley will become a top 10 SMW??? Not in a million years!! Bute once again fought a guy who had about 0% chance of winning. Boring!

Yes, he's a very respectable, solid fighter. People are just frustrated with Bute not being able to rumble with the S6 names and taking it out on Brinkley.

Chances are much better than you may think because it's Team Pavlik that made Bute an offer for March 2011 at a catchweight of 166lbs, not the other way around..

Yesterday Team Bute basically said they'll accept the offer as long as Pavlik wins in November.
