I'm really looking foward to this fight. Its a great match-up between two young boxers with contrasting styles.

Andrade is one of my favorite boxers becuase he is always entertaining and he is a respectable bloke outside the ring. I want him to win but I think Bute has the right style to out point him.

    Heart - Andrade by TKO
Head - Bute close but clear UD.

I hope Andrade can beat him. I think an exciting fighter like Andrade deserves a world title. Man, what a chin.

I wrote an article that ESB has kindly agreed to publish. I have tried to put together some of my thoughts about why Librado Andrade should not be underrated, especially in this fight, against Lucian Bute.

    All appropriate comments welcome!

    Thank you.

I am surprised to read and hear so many commentators say Bute should win confortably. I don't think they've thought about what makes Andrade so effective and looked at way the two fighters' styles match up thoroughly enough.

I think there is always a chance that the fight turns out to be a great upset, like power wins over speed ( Cotto vs Margarito ) The only thing is that Lucian's power is very underated, he hits with more power than Andrade. If you add to that that he has way more speed and skills, plus, it's his best shot ever at gaining respect in the US ( big PPV $$$ )

I keep thinking that body work will be king, and, it happens to be one of Bute's best weapon.

I think Andrade defends very well to the body with his long arms. Because he moves so much, unless you stand in front of him, it's hard to hit to the body properly. If you do stand in front of him, he's going to throw everything at you too. Bute will have to move better than ever and be very active to be successful to the body, I think.

It's part of Lucian's arsenal, quick feet, move in and out in a flash, also able to counter very well. Since Andrade will trow everything but a chair, there will be openings when he extends his arms to hit, liver will be open for punishment....

    My analysis for this fight-

As we have seen so many times before, speed, timing, lateral movement and pure skill usually beats force and will.
Lucian Bute will start out slow, paw with his jab and use movements to make Andrade come in with his head first, making really bad mistakes. I believe Andrade will make the entire twelve rounds competetive, Lucian will definitely be in for some scares, he does not like to tie a fighter up as he does leaning backwards after being inside on his opponents.
At times, I think Andrade will take advantage of this and make Lucian pay, forcing him to realize his mistakes and tie Andrade up more than we would like. At the end of the day, Lucian should beat a crude sluggers with his movement, he rarely throws combinations, but likes to lure his fighter in and throw that left hand from all angles.

Lucian Bute has a few very bad flaws, this will produce some scares as I said, he will not be able to lean backwards with Andrade swinging for dear life all night long like he did to Berrio and Bika.

Lucian Bute can't hurt Andrade with one punch.

I'm banking on a Lucian Bute decision win over Andrade.
