Bute is only as good as his last fight so personally i'd rather not speculate on virtual match ups although i hope he recovers from his tough loss.

Nunn would **** him up. Bute's Chin is horrible and I honestly wouldn't expect him to last more than three rounds.

Nunn was slick with deceptive power...
(People tend to remember Nunn as a Slap puncher)

I'd go Nunn by late TKO or UD.

Im still of the opinion that Bute had deer in the headlights disease last time out........Im hoping he recovers and proves to the world he's the best SMW/LHW in the world.

    Bute T/KO8 Nunn:thumbsup

I agree with bits of both these posts. I agree with Chitownfightfan that I think Bute got overawed by being away from home.
Froch admits that the same thing happend to him against Taylor and it took him a while to get going where he tried loading up due to the situation. I guess Frochs chin was good enough to carry him through.

I also agree with what Haterats says about Nunn having deceptive power.

I find this one a tough one to call, because I think Bute is far better than he looked against Froch and Nunn mainly performed better against smaller fighters.

I struggle to call it, but think it goes to close points which ever way

Nunn kind of goes under the radar on the general when discussing MWs. I know this is SMW but its debatable what weight you think his best was. Nunn was a proven talent and an excellent fighter. Bute is still an unproven talent to me. A talent for sure but unproven against the top competition. Until he can prove that he can bang out a win against someone not named andrade or miranda or someone not in his mid 40s that he used to spar against, its Nunn all the way.

Not sure if Nunn would open himself up to a toney-esque pole axing so I'll say Nunn UD. Too much talent for Bute to handle. However, I wouldnt rule out Nunn knocking him out late after seeing how he folded to Froch.

Bute was sick and jetlagged against Froch. A ready 110% Bute kicks Nunn's ass all over :good

Just like i thought he would destroy Froch, and eventually reign in both the 168 and 175 but i don't know what to think anymore although i agree with a previous poster that he wasn't his own self against Froch. Let's give him a couple of fights before we try to rate his level, coming off a tough upset is not the right time to evaluate him.

I've seen many stay at home fighters lose their focus completely simply b/c they expected a standing ovation in their enemy's backyard.

Bute looked like he wanted to be Carls buddy. Even invited him out to dinner before the fight. At the weighin and during the instructions, Bute was still trying to befriend Froch. During one early exchange, the two accidentally bumped heads......Bute acknowledged he was likely at fault for the accident and smiled and extended his hand in a gesture of apology.....Froch meanmugged him through it all and then bulldozed his ass for 5 rds.

Jetlag:think:think:thinkNah, just forgot that Carl did not show up to lose. Things should be quite different back home next March.

As for a mythical Nunn matchup........Bute, so long as he doesnt screw up and try to be Nunn's best dude, would likely be a close fight with Nunn taking some rounds and being ahead with his better handspeed and willingness to take a few to score.
Bute however would have far too much power and shoot from those angles. Nunn would not handle the Bute body attack any better than the others and he'd be stopped. JUST IMO.

This is worse than when Wlad was KOd by Sanders.

Imagine if Tyson had gotten KTFO by Douglas in 2012:-:)-:)-(
