I dunno about everyone else, but I'm pretty pumped for this one (hoping it comes off).

This will obviously be Bute's biggest test by far as a professional, and one of Kessler's most difficult assignments as well.

I see a tentative fight early on as both guys feel each other out, with Bute probably landing the higher number of power shots early, as Kessler will probably take a bit longer because of his inactivity.

Around round 5 or 6 I think Kessler will start opening up, but this is the same time I think Bute will have starting finding a home for that vicious body uppercut, which will no doubt give Kessler problems. If Kessler can utilize his long jab effectively, that could very well be a determining factor as to how the overall fight will go, as nobody likes a stiff jab with good reach.

I think at the moment, I'm leaning towards a Bute decision, IF Kessler doesn't have a tuneup before this fight happens.

    Thoughts?

Kessler by brutal KO inside 3 rounds. If it's in Montreal then this will result in a technical decision for Bute, so what do I vote?

:deal Good fight if it happens. If Kessler has the same 1-2 witch we did no see in his last fights ...it will be a close fight.

    :good good post......

Kessler wants this fight big time.........

I think Kesslers strait right over the top could be the punch but fear for Bute.s body shots.....

The venue is the key factor........................and sadly, Bute will never fight i Denmark.

    In Denmark: Kessler - Bute 55 - 45
    In Canada : Kessler - Bute 35 - 65

Bute by uppercut, Kessler's lost a step especially after wars with Ward and Froch.

I'm with you. I think Bute should be favored, but I'd be pulling hard for Kessler. Kessler, TKO, 8th round.

Bute is still unproven to me. There will be much more pressure on Bute than on Kessler and Kessler has already been around the block. He'll know what to do with Bute's bodypunching, but will Bute know what to do with Kessler's assault? Kessler by decision.

I seriously doubt that. He was hurt to the body by Calzaghe (!!) who certainly isn't more powerful than Bute.

Also, you seem to think experience is everything in boxing. It is important, but may I remind you Ward was pretty green when he schooled Kessler.

I think it is a massive step up for Bute. Kessler pips him in a very close fight. :rasta

    Fair enough.

That's like me wanting to believe Gatti could give any fighter in the history of boxing a run for their money :deal
