Ofcause i am cheering for Kessler. His work with Montoya is very good. He trains some infights with 1, 2, 3 combination ending with af left hook to the body and the fighting spirit seems to have been much better.......

If it's the Kessler that stepped in with Mundine and Calzaghe than I believe he boxes the ears off of Bute. I think Bute has too many holes, such as the low lead right hand and doesn't have the control of his outside game.

While he has handspeed and awkwardness in his favour, his chin has been tested and shown to be a little problematic, considering Kessler has knocked out many fighters and is a solid if not huge puncher at the weight, I give him every chance here if he steps in as the guy with the solid fundamentals, jab and right hand.

If he steps in as the guy who believes that he lost against Calzaghe because he didn't have the right boxing technique and changes it up like he tried to against Froch and Ward, then I think he loses.

I think we will see a worse version of Kessler than the one who fought Froch, which was already noticeably worse than prime.

Bute is on the up and up and will get a mercy stoppage or a clear decision, he is too sharp offensively, and Kessler has become too hittable. If Kessler looks to be fully recovered on the eye front though and gets up for it big time then he could make it difficult for Bute on ticker alone, but i think its unlikely that all of this won't have taken a toll on Kessler.

I'm doubting that myself. Kessler fighting Brouadla instead of St.Juste gives cause for speculation.

Brouadla is rated 5 at WBO and the Sauerland tries to make it an official eliminator meaning the winner will get a shot at Stieglitz.

Kessler has said that his ambition is to become undisputed, so he'll have to pick up the WBO belt at some point and a Stieglitz fight would surely be in Denmark while a more difficult Bute fight would be in Montreal. So by picking up the WBO-belt first, he positions himself better in negotiations with the s6 winner and Bute.

In other words the plan could be:

    Brouadla
    Stieglitz
    Bute or s6 winner.

In the meantime Bute might fight Pavlik.

Disagree - definitely the plan is Brouadla - Bute - super six winner/Pavlik. One more lose, and the carrier is over though..............

Okay.. Heres how this will go....

    1) Kessler is a better boxer, and will take control of the fight, putting preassure on Bute.

IM 100% sure that Kessler will, if it goes 12 rounds, win by UD.

    2) Bute has 1 chance with his bodypunch. When Kessler begin his slaughter on Bute in the corner, Bute could actually hurt Kessler badly with a counterbodypunch...

IF 2. dosnt happend, then Kessler will take this UD. No doubt in my min.

It's the St.Juste thing that 'bothers' me. Had Sauerland aimed at Bute in the autumn, he would have been perfect: Southpaw and canadian = max exposure in Canada.

Instead they pick an orthodox fighter with a high WBO ranking (albeit lower than St.Juste) which makes sense if the aim is on Stieglitz.

Or maybe it all boils down to money. Maybe St.Juste was much more expensive than Brouadla. Kessler wanted low ticketprices and the danish public is indifferent bewteen St.Juste and Brouadla. So it could be that I am over-interpreting the move.

St-Juste would hve been good as he is a southpaw. The fact he's Canadian doesn't really matter. Kessler is well known here. Everybody remembers how he was kind with Éric Lucas (out of the ring, of course). :D

Anyway, Sauerland doesn't have to help Interbox in their promo, right?

If the WBO makes the Kessler-Brouadla fight an eliminator, they are worse than in my worse dreams and that's not because of Kessler being part of it...

Stieglitz would accept to fight him only if Kessler looks bad in his comeback fight.

I still hope for Kessler-Bute next.

If Kessler-Bute happens after Kess's interim fight, I would be ecstatic.

Even if Kessler isn't what he once was, I know this could be a very entertaining match up.

I don't know how much Kessler has left, but I think it's Bute's time now, think he'd get a UD.

Yea depending on how Kess looks in June will hopefully give us some sort of idea on what he has left.

But even if does look good, we know he isn't what he once was, and Bute's body uppercut looks better with each fight, and a prime Kessler would have a tough time dealing with that alone.

I hope he's able to give one last great effort if the Bute fight happens.

And I actually like Bute, but I'll be rooting for Kessler.

I'll make my pick June 5th.

The Kessler that beat Froch would beat Bute, that I know. But I'll have to see what Kessler has left before I make my prediction.

Bute will beat him at this stage. Too much skilled and power for the current version of Kessler. I can see a stoppage here in the late rounds.

    Bute via TKO/KO.
