There's no doubt that Froch and Ward have better résumé, but a good part of it is because they were invited to the super 6. Based on natural abilities, Bute is a special talent. He's a southpaw with really good power. The way he KOed Mr. granit chin Andrade with a body shot was something to watch. He's got fast hands too and good footwork.

My top 2 SMW are Ward and Bute. Froch's got a better résumé than both, but that doesn't mean that Ward and Bute would not beat Pascal, Dirrell and Abraham if they get the opportunity. I'm a big Froch fan and I picked him to beat Abraham, but I think his biggest wins are behind him. He's not gonna beat Ward and Bute.

In my opinion, Bute can KO most of the SMW and I think he's the most talented guy in the division. However, I'd pick Ward to beat him because he's got the perfect style to do it. I don't think that Bute would react well against Ward's inside game. I don't think he'd react well once Ward roughed him up. I think that Ward is stronger mentally than Bute.

 

Larouche will (and probably has already) study Ward like a Harvard nerd... this fight can go either way but will not be a close one IMO. Either Ward troubles Bute so much with his inside game that Bute is lost at sea for 12 rounds, either Ward takes a couple of flush uppercuts coming in and gets TKO'ed (he's the SOG, so he has the biggest heart out there and will not be KO'ed - LOL).

Let's see how Ward fares vs Froch first... with hopefully Bute-Dirrell as a bonus.

Bute show pure boxing skills, there is not punch i have not seen him execute perfectly, andre was his only miss step (he still won), an one he corrected in his rematch. Ward beating kessler is good victory, a person i thought would win the tournement, but i think a stoppage over an andrede in 4 rounds surpasses that.

Kessler victory was impressive, to me a stoppage of a guy like andre so early is impressive, yea i knew andre was going to lose, thought a wide UD, maybe every round for bute, but that speed an POWER, you need that to take down a guy like andre in 4 rounds, had to be awsome,,,

Actually, I appear to be, based on how many mistakes you were able to cram in such a short response... not even mentioning the misuse of punctuation and the shady use of "give this credit". Oh, and I'm what you call a frog BTW... what a shame.

Every time I see a post here asserting Froch is better than Dirrell i shake my head.

Ward, Dirrell, and Bute(in any order you like) are the 3 best smw's in the world, period.

 

I think because he was the longest reigning belt holder prior to the tourney has some nice wins most by KO

Seriously though, even considering that this KO4 over Andrade was superb, I still think Ward's domination of Kessler weighs more in the balance. And I was, still am a Bute fan. Wink wink.
