I don't think it will be as one sided as Kessler-Andrade.

I understand what you say about Bute being more fluid and less robotic, he's pretty agile and quick with his hands, obviously he's got the southpaw stance working for him aswell and he packs a bit of power.

But forget about the power, nobody at 168 knocks out Andrade. I don't think his chins as solid as Kessler's, I don't think he will be able to control the distance and find his range as well as Kessler when under pressure. Although he's got a pretty quick right handed jab, I think Kessler's is much better, great timing and accuracy.

Kessler might be more upright and robotic but he's a superior fighter for me. Bute is a good little fighter though, I'm still pretty much undecided on this one though I would edge towards a Bute decision. 116-112/115-113 sounds about right to me.

First half is right, second is wrong,Bute took some monster shots from Berrio(who is a big puncher) and didn't even move, the jab issue is the worst,Kessler's jab is really weaker than Bute's.Bute and Kessler will prolly fight next year and we will see who is the better fighter

Robotic or not, Bute does not match Kessler in the basics. Mundine is not "robotic", it didn't exactly help him

    Jab...no
    Footwork...no
    Defence...no luck here
    Speed...hand speed maybe, overall no
    Power...even
    Susceptibility to pressure...Bute wins here
    Competition...no

He will 'hang' around for the UD loss.

He is more expereinced now, having fought Kessler and Mack. Won't fix his lack of an amateur background and boxing skill though.

It's good you don't argue any of the points. You are moving on from expectancy based on boxing logic to blind faith in your man, which is not a problem.

Bute having a jab to match Kessler's is one of the most laughable things I've read in a while too. It's nothing like as effective as Kessler's, and it will be woefully evident in this fight along with his footwork because he won't keep Andrade at bay as effectively. Kessler has dropped about 4 rounds before Calzaghe, and the foundation for that is off his jab.

Bute dropped as many against Bika alone, the jabs are worlds apart.

Well I didn't see much of the Berrio fight so fair enough. I still don't think he chin is as accomplished as Kessler's though, but atleast it seems solid.

    Kessler's jab is far superior.

The UD win is the plan for Bute, nobody has KOed Andrade,he prolly isn't thinking he will

That is the point,Kessler is not the same since Calzaghe,by next year Bute will only get better while Kessler I can be sure will struggle with Haussler and another opponent maybe. The points are useless to talk cuz they are wrong in parts, you are talking about Kessler pre-Calzaghe

Must say I agree with TFFP :patsch

Kessler kept Calzaghe at bay in the first half with the jab and right hand, before getting lazy and losing the second half very conclusively.

Bute is decent, but that is all.

And how did Kessler keep Sartison away?

What do you mean he's not the same?

He's only had one fight after inactivity for christ sake, and he won every single round on my card before knocking the dude out, although there could be a case for one round to Sartison. He wasn't anywhere near his best, but its just one fight where the timing was off which can be put down to ring rust.

Bit soon to be drawing rash conclusions like that on such little evidence.

Nonsensical reasoning, because Joe did nothing that would "ruin" him. He outsmarted and out adjusted him. Hardly an ass whooping.

I have seen it since and had Kessler 109-100

In reply to your post, Kessler kept him at bay by simply outclassing him and knocking him the **** out :deal
