That's bad news. I'd love to see these two at it. Great style clash.

And you think I'm a moron? Please. YOU don't get to call who is in the drivers seat. Bute has the belt. Bute has Showtime. Bute offers a 20,000 seat sold out venue. Kessler really isn't going to bring anymore revenue to this fight than Bute can get fighting someone else. Simple as.....Either Kessler wants it or he doesn't. If he believes he can beat Bute, he takes the fight. If he doesn't believe he can beat Bute, he goes after Stieglitz instead. His choice. Kessler ain't driving Bute NOWHERE if he doesn't fight him.

Bad comparison dude. Bute and Kessler are seen by most as #3 and #4 SMW and by some as #2 and #3 SMW they are pretty much equal in popularity and at what they draw as live audience. Martinez is #2 P4P while Chavez Jr. is a paper champ, not even top5 MW

If Bute wants the big fights he will have to take some chances... Kessler already took those chances and I'm sure he would be willing again. Sauerland wants to milk their investment, just like interbox has milked theirs for years.

The way you talk you would think that Bute holds all the belts or something. Bute is a paper champion who has beaten no one. No one. Kessler is really the WBC Champion who has fought a who's who of the 168lbs division.

Here is a question for you Hermit.

Which has been worse - Bute's title reign of his paper IBF or Pavlik's reign as middleweight champion?

Maybe it's that time of the month for you, I dunno, i'll give it one last shot and outline clearly my views

    1) kessler and bute are both high ranked contenders
    2) the winner of the s6 will be the champ at smw
    3) mikel has first dibs at that champ.

If you really wanna disagree with that go ahead. Or you can continue stating the obvious, i'll list somethings I agree with.

    1) I don't decide anything
    2) bute can get fighting someone else
    3) kessler wants it or doesn't
    4) if he believes he can beat him he'll fight him.

I'm not even sure what your point is. If it's that the ibf belt round bute's waist means he's the world champ then we might as well give up discussing because I couldn't disagree more.

I know I was just getting across that a title doesn't mean much.

I see them a 3, 4 and pretty equal also! Which is why I want them to get it on, plus the style clash is immense, foty type matchup.

Bute's team has been trying for better opposition. Kessler is NOT the WBC Champion unless your boy Froch wants to give him his belt. Again.

I guess you can blame Bute for being too good to be invited to the Showtime tourney.

Well, Missy, I'll also give it one last try. If Kessler believes the belt means nothing, then why isn't he fighting Bute instead of Kessler? You keep ignoring the heart of my question. You can throw all the **** against the wall you want, but it comes back down to that. Let's stay focused on this point. It looks like Kessler is taking the easiest path to a belt. Why? It means something to HIM! You can dismiss the belts all you want, but there is only ONE reason for Kessler to go after Stieglitz instead of Bute. He wants a belt and Stieglitz is the weakest belt holder.

If he pursues rob then yeah I agree.

unless he beats the winner of s6 he won't be the real champ anyway.

Kessler wants to unify all four belts... Simple as that. Yes Stieglitz is the easy route, but Kessler has been out of the game for more then a year. He will eventually have to go to Canada and fight Bute if he wants to unify.

Way back somewhere in this thread or another, I specifically stated that if Kessler's next fight is Stieglitz, that is OK with me. Stieglitz has the one belt that will be hardest to get. Ironic since he is the weakest belt holder. Take it if you can now. The rest actually 'should' be easy because I think the guys at the top are all willing to fight each other right now.

That many names knocking about the next year looks amazing again in this division.

I just hope these guys do fight each other rather than all try and wait for the s6 winner.

u need to learn how to walk before running, that said it is true he has not yet faced the big names out there but it will come , till then lets compare what we do know about him. Bute knoked out or dominated meny apponents that others failed to as convincingly, here are two quick examples… Andrade knock out in fourth round as kessler trew everything he had and was not able to do so…next we have ward verses mirranda where again ward whent 12 rouds and won by dissision as bute knocked him out in the third round…have your opinion is fine by me but putting him down that way is just pure hatting and not admitting he can and will do damage against the big name…only time will tell so till then pls refraine from stupid remarks and judge him for what has bin done so far.

now im not clayming bute is better than top ranked fighters.
    only time will tell:hammertime

I've also made the point about Stieglitz being a potential barrier to unifying the belts in this division, and if Kessler can relieve him of it, it will be better in the long run. After that, I hope, and indeed can conceivably see all the top guys facing off and someone emerging with all the belts!
