Luis Alberto Lazarte vs. Ulises Solis II RBR

Round 11

Lazarte is cutting wide with can-opener shots and missing. Solis is landing hooking counters. Double hook by Solis on the turn. Lazarte swings wildly with his elbows stuck out and leans into Solis. The referee is yelling out warnings while absolutely nothing is happening, just Solis jabbing from outside. Lazarte walks into and through a glancing combo. More clinching. Lazarte is using his shoulder as a shield to just crab-walk into Solis and then trying to lob both fists into Solis' stomach & groin region. Rough stuff. BLATANT LOW BLOW by Lazarte, with no warning.

 

Why would Solis go back to Argentina? :-(

 

I don't know. There are at least two rounds where it's unclear whether there were point deductions. :conf

Lazarte hasn't won a single round based on clean effective punching because he hasn't DONE ANY.

 

Round 12

Lazarte hops up and down with a spring of his knees, looking to chop his way in with a 1-2 but getting knocked aside and having to grab when caught up in the draft of his momentum. Lazarte holding and hitting. Solis is looking to flurry as much as he can between the low blow & grab combos of Lazarte, trying to put some scoring in the bank. Lazarte keeps making a foul-fest of it, AND FLOORS SOLIS WITH A BLATANT SHOT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD while Solis is completely turned around from him. The ref at least rules it a "slip". :roll: Solis holds his left arm out as a stick, still not recovered from the shot to the base of his neck. Lazarte lands a right hand to the face and Solis staggers a little. Lazarte tries to finish him off but can't. The bell rings and the referee encourages them to hug. Lazarte grabs Solis in a headlock, laughing. Solis just looks sad.

 

Lazarte is up on his people's shoulders.
