He does so many things fundamentally wrong with his wild, unorthodox Tasmanian devil attacking style. And yet he’s so effective and athletically talented that he can get away with these mistakes. He’s like Ricardo Mayorga with a little bit of Naseem Hamed. Fun fighter to watch, although I think his style will eventually work against him when he faces someone who can tame him and take advantage of his technical flaws. This content is protected
Such a weird fighting style yet very aggressive and brutal. I’d love to see him face the likes of Rafael Espinoza, Brandon Figueroa, Rey Vargas, Leigh Wood, or Robeisy Ramirez at some point. Exciting fighter. This content is protected
He seems to have a very good understanding of where his openings are and is able to anticipate counters. And not only is he able to anticipate, he takes advantage of those moments. He fights like he is thinking one step ahead. There is always a setup to everything he does.
That style is not awkward, that style is directly plain wrong. He only can fight like that vs feather fisted oponents. The first decent fighter who can punch for real will put him to sleep.
Certainly isn't any other fighter out there currently like him, he could he doing nothing 1 minute then springing up from a crouching position with a bundle of shots with no real thought behind them except throwing a variation of shots. I know Abe's eye was badly ****ed (& probably should've been stopped a round or 2 earlier) but how many times did Lopez miss? I'd be surprised if he landed more than 10% of his shots.
As expected that awkward wild style of his was going to cost him. Was only a matter of time until someone took advantage of his technical flaw of leaving his guard down and catch him good. Exciting fighter but poor fundamentals. This content is protected
