I posted about this undercard earlier, pretty weak looking so far...

    Salido vs Cruz is solid

Monaghan vs Smith....I don't want to pay to watch Sean beat up on a nobody, even if it's somewhat entertaining

    Vargas vs TBA

Just read that Abregu is a certainty for an October fight, possibly on this PPV undercard. I like the idea of a Vargas/Abregu fight.....just got a little more excited

(and I NEED something to be excited about, im a Time Warner customer and was told they will not be carrying May/Canelo)

The JMM-Bradley undercard is looking pretty weak. I read the two guys being looked at for Abregu are Brad Solomon and Wale Omotoso.

I have Time Warner as well and this whole issue between them and CBS is really frustrating. I figured it would be worked out by the time the Sept 14 ppv rolled around but if not that would suck.

The card is shaping up fine, as long as you don't view it through a prism comparing it to what's booked for the Mayweather vs. Canelo PPV card.

The battle of the Orlando's is a nice co-feature.

Caputo honestly isn't my first choice of dance partner but I'm just happy to see Monaghan's years of toil pay off with some major exposure and he certainly won't disappoint in terms of putting on a show and laying a beating on Caputo.

Then you have the debuts of Lomachenko and Usyk - which, honestly, are the most important Olympian debuts of the year. (**** Shiming, **** Campbell...)

Abregu vs. anyone is really just icing on the cake.

I'm skeptical Abregu gets on that card, unless its against Vargas which doesn't look likely at the moment. Abregu probably gets on one of the other October cards Top Rank is doing, there doesn't seem to be enough slots on the JMM-Bradley card.

Salido-Cruz is a decent enough fight and if it was the first or second fight of the night that would be good but its about average for a co-feature.

Monaghan-Smith is another ok fight but nothing to get excited about.

If Lomachenko gets on the card than that improves it considering Jessie Vargas has been lined up for the show so far. I'd much prefer that scenario.

So, if Lomachenko or Abregu replaces Vargas that improves the card and it would be an ok undercard. If Vargas stays on as well as Salido-Cruz and Monaghan-Smith I just see that as an average to weak undercard.

I think we're not that far off from agreement, more just a matter of semantics.

I view it as being average/fair to decent. Weak compared to Mayweather vs. Alvarez, which is a bat**** insane card, but superior PPV value to, say, most Pacquiao undercards of the last few years.

Yeah, the Sept 14 card is one of those cards that will be hard to match in the future, we're lucky to get a card like that.

I hope we get Lomachenko over Vargas for the JMM-Bradley card. I'm not crazy about Vargas and would really like to see Lomachenko's debut, I suspect Top Rank might be thinking along those lines as well.

One thing though is that the JMM-Bradley fight itself is one of the most anticiapated fights(for me personally) in a few years. It might not have as deep of an undercard as Mayweather-Alvarez but its the better fight and I like the Mayweather fight but JMM-Bradley could be a classic.
