this guy is probably the most avoided fighter in boxing its my opinion that bertos team ducked him for mosely, there gambling on mosely age as the contributing factor next month collazo's 2 losses were close, but i think it was down to him not doing enough in the final rounds of the fight to make a difference. guys like margerito, clottey, quintana, judah, alavarez all need an opponent for there next fight and i'm sure fighting and dominating a fighter whos never been dominated would really send a message to the rest of the division personally i feel collazo could beat all 5 of there ass's he'd probably put the final nail in the coffin of judahs career, send quintana into retirement, TKO alvarez, and further ruin margerito who has a looming shadow over his questionable career clottey presents the biggest threat but thats a closer fight but i'd still give the bigger man in collazo an edge in that 1

Feel bad for Collazo. I think he definitely should have got the nod against Hatton and I think the Berto fight was a draw. What is he supposed to do at this stage? He lost 2 decisions against the bigger named fighters.

I agree Collazo does frequently get the short end of the stick, but Berto ain't ducking him, he's being logical. He already has a win over Collazo (controversial, but still a win) and accepted a fight against mosley, a bigger name and with a win, it will be a catapult in the division, especially since Mosley is ranked in the p4p top 10.

To be honest berto should have gave him a rematch. I have a lot or respect when that happens immediately.

He actually tried to make that happen but DiBella wouldn't accept 50-50 like Collazo was asking for...don't quite know how to feel about that. Eitherways any young welterweight prospect who wants to prove they can fight in this division needs to look no further than Collazo; he beat both Hatton and Berto IMO. Should really be #6 or #7 ranked WW in the world

I thought he beat Berto bust lost to Hatton. I scored 114-113 in both fights.

Collazo is a solid fighter. I like the dude. When a guy is this talented and gets no fights you have to look at his promotional team.

That is what sucks about boxing sometimes. A solid guy like Collazo gets no fights. Then when he goes "a-hole" and starts being bitter everyone blames him. Go figure.

well Collazo is promoted by Don King.

but what makes it worse is, he's not a very marketable fighter

and if he gets "no fights" how come he got the shots at Hatton Mosley and Berto .. the only reason it's held against Collazo more

is because he lost all three fights.

keep in mind another not so marketable fighter in Joshua Clottey doesn't get a lot of big fights either (Margarito, Judah, Cotto)

^ but he at least defeated Zab. part of the reason Collazo doesn't get so many opportunities is cuz he loses all his big fights (Mosley, Hatton, Berto)

add that in with not being terribly marketable and no wonder Luis gets "no" fights

Collazo beat Berto, but the criminal judges gave Berto a gift. It's a shame.

^ two of those judges had it 114-113

how is losing by one point on 2 scorecards a shame? the only thing legitimate that you can complain about was the 116-111 scorecard

he already fought two big names in Mosley and Hatton, and failed to beat either.

the way you people talk about Collazo is as if he's never been on a title fight or fought on HBO or Showtime

    gimme a break
