How does everyone rate Luis Collazo ?

Hatton - Unlucky not to get the decision?
Berto - Unlucky not to get the decision ?
Mosley - Unlucky to get an injury early in the fight ?

Hatton - Was a close fight but the KD did swing it in Hatton's favour i had Hatton up 1pt

Berto - Havent seen the whole fight to make a fair analysis, but from what i saw it was a nip and tuck affair and close.

Mosley - Took him to school, i was unaware he had an injury, probly wouldnt have made a difference.

I agree that I dont think the injury wouldve made a difference to the Mosley result but it wouldve been a bit less one sided.

I suppose what Im trying to say is that he doesn't get that much mention when discussing WW contenders but if those first two close decisions had gone the other way would things be a lot different? I feel he gives anyone at WW a tough fight

I think he is defo a tougher 'gatekeeper' than say Zab Judah is at 147lb

Yeah i rate Collazo he gives a very tough fight, and although i dont think he was robbed against Hatton or as far as im aware Berto, i think he gave a good account for himself and the WW's know this and he should fight for a title after a few more good wins.

    From ESPN

"Nine months later, trying to get back on track, Collazo fought Shane Mosley for the interim WBC welterweight title. In the third round, Collazo tore three ligaments and fractured the thumb on his left hand. Fighting three-quarters of the bout with one hand, Collazo lost a lopsided decision to Mosley."

"Collazo shook Mosley with a right counter in the second round, signaling that Mosley was going to have trouble with the southpaw for the rest of the night. But the threat ended in the third round when Collazo injured his left hand and was forced to work with a limited arsenal the rest of the way."

He's underated and very good to watch. A slick fighter that can give problems to anyone he faces.

The Berto fight was a toss up, I had it a draw... but either of them could have been the winner. The Hatton fight is a fight I saw Collazo win. Mosley will always beat Collazo, but it could have been a closer fight without any injuries. Collazo is just a fighter that brings threat, but no rewards. Unfortunately this is a sport were hype is a big part of it. He is truly unlucky at times, but things happen for a reason.
