If you pay attention to boxing, this is the fight that is most likely to happen for both guys. Not Collazo-Mayweather.

I've always been a Collazo fan and have followed his career pretty closely and know about the injury problems and such he has dealt with, so I couldn't be happier about the result he got tonight.

With that said, I think he can give Garcia an excellent fight. Collazo is slick and can box very well and I think he can give Danny plenty of problems.

Thurman i can see, but Garcia facing Collazo for his first fight at 147 is a bad career move unless he wants a loss on his record.

But that hasn't been talked about at all. People have been talking about the winner of tonight's fight to face Garcia next.

Honestly Collazo has more than a few options

He holds the WBA Strap - Adrien Broner (Former WBA), Paulie Malignaggi (NABF) Kieth Thurman (WBA Mando) Maidana (WBA Champ)

IBF Route - Kell Brook (IBF Mando), Devon Alexander (Former IBF), Shawn Porter (IBF Champ)

WBC Route - Luis Carlos Abregu (WBC 3) Amir Khan (WBC 2) Floyd Mayweather (WBC Champ) or even for the vacant belt if Mayweather refuses to fight

Then you have big money fights against guys like Matthysse, Peterson, Garcia, Judah, Berto, Guerrero and Karass

Malignaggi would be a great fight in Brooklyn, New York and im pretty sure he could beat Broner too given the chance but the WBA Mandatory and Champion would be too much for him so he would have 2 or 3 good paydays before losing to the latter

Kell Brook is a hard fight but winnable given the trouble fellow yank Carson Jones was able to cause in their first encounter, same with Alexander (Bradley/Porter) and then you have the IBF Champ in Porter which is another fight Collazo has the potential to win

Then finally you have the yellow brick road to the WBC road fighting Abregu, Khan and Mayweather? if Collazo could pick up a win vs Abregu then take on Khan after (depending on if and how Khan deals against Floyd) then its an easy shot to a pay day or even a vacant belt

If I were Collazo I know what I would do

Zab Judah / Paulie Malignaggi - Battle of Brooklyn
Kell Brook / Devon Alexander - IBF Eliminator
    Shawn Porter - IBF Champion
Amir Khan - Former WBA/IBF Champion
    Floyd Mayweather - WBC Champion

Provided he has to win these fights but its where he stands the best chance of winning along with the most money, world title, unification and can always go on to challenge for the WBA belt unless Floyd somehow unifies before hand.

Golden boy can get it done : DO IT

I guess you didn't watch any of the live interviews that were done with both Ortiz and Collazo before tonight's fight, eh? It's been talked about in boxing circles.
