Collazo is dancing around, throwing pot shot right jabs while bouncing on his toes, and trying to lay a long left uppercut onto the belly of Vargas from outside without surrendering too much distance. Vargas is chasing after him, falling into clinches as Collazo eagerly draws him in with his arms turned bottoms up, bent at the elbows and fashioned into a clasp. Very messy last couple of minutes. Ref ordering breaks every few seconds. Vargas marching after Collazo, walking through his jabs, landing meaty body shots. Nice short left hook on the temple by Vargas as Collazo ducks in front of him trying to get cute and shoeshine the body. Vargas marching relentlessly until the final bell, with Collazo wheezing and bleeding, holding on whenever he can.

This is the roughest I've seen Collazo look since he scraped by Steve Upsher Chambers (ignore the wide judges' scorecards) in 2012.

Yes, seven goddamn years ago he already looked shot to hell, but the guy has been raging against the dying of a light and bizarrely consistent with his inconsistency in this prolonged final chapter of his career, long after he was initially relevant. (in fact he probably has a higher profile since he became such a mercurial old head than he did when he was an underrated contender and briefly, title holder)
