Round 4

Mosley is fanning the jab out and very lightly brushing Lopez's face with it. Very unkempt jab from Mosley, not snapping it out well...but very busy with it. Body punches from Mosley, thrown roundhouse and with his entire body weight put into them as he swivels in and collides with Lopez. Bravely standing in, Lopez jabs and pecks with the left hand, dipping in between to let Mosley catch him on the shoulder and back.

If this goes the distance the card will have been six hours from opening bell in Arena Roberto Duran, and four hours on the air.

 

Round 5

Mosley is getting very disorganized with the jab, throwing it up and then course-correcting with a downward break toward Lopez's face, just feathering with it or missing outright. Lopez is starting to find Mosley with accurate left hand leads and then bowing to one side to weather the storm as Mosley steps in and flurries.

Round 6

Mosley is winded, floating his jab in the air in the vicinity of Lopez's face but not connecting - or just grazing with a light brush around the ear. Mosley is throwing uppercuts at the body, one and done, clasping onto Lopez for a respite. Lopez is calmly boxing at mid-range, turning Mosley and keeping the right jab on him to measure, then snapping his head back or crunching his teeth with the left. Mosley blinking away sweat and looking uncomfortable, inhaling with difficulty when more than a few punches are exchanged.

Tough break for Lopez if he sweeps the entire 2nd half (nominally enough to earn a draw) but still loses because of the KD.

 

Round 7

Mosley is getting wrestled and nullified at close range, Lopez pushing down on his arms, pinning them and landing the left hand before Mosley can lift them. Mosley is frowning and huffing, ineffectively aggressive, throwing flurries that dissipate on the guard as Lopez picks them off and stays disciplined working off the jab.
