Mosley is a sitting duck for the overhand left. Mosley is taking a few of those for every clean punch he lands, now. Lopez is feinting with the jab and Mosley is standing off, unwilling to cross Lopez's threshold. Lopez is doubling the jab and now pressing forward, chasing Mosley with a left hand on the body. Mosley is throwing very harmless shots now, chucked underhand, skidding off Lopez's core. Lopez countering, very accurate with the left on the jaw. Mosley lands a flush left hook on the face, which Lopez ignores like it was nothing.

Round 9

Mosley is throwing single jabs at the chest, then clapping his gloves together and posing. Mosley doesn't have much activity left in him. Lopez is still giving him plenty of respect, not wanting perhaps to fall into a false sense of security. Lopez cautiously presses in behind the southpaw jab and launches overhand lefts from a safe vantage while Mosley holds up his arms crossed horizontally over each other in an ineffectual screen. Lopez tosses a left hand down the middle and sweeps a right hook at Mosley, forcing him to dive in and hold. Lots of holding and wrenching on the arms by Mosley. Lunging shots by Mosley, whiffing. Lopez getting in lefts and then working his way in, where Mosley instinctively holds as he lacks the energy for infighting.

Lopez is jabbing with confidence. Mosley is throwing big hooks, slicing with both hands! Mosley scores a knockdown in the corner. Lopez is up and lucid, eager to establish his jab. Mosley just wails on him with big hooks. No more boxing. Just a fight. Mosley puts him down again - twice more! Thrice! Waved off.

FFS, if you had that in you, Shane, why not just go buck-wild nine rounds ago so we could've been asleep by now?!?! (as I don't imagine the main event will last too long)

 

I don't even think he got a 2nd wind. Those were desperation bombs thrown with every ounce of energy he had left.
