Luis Concepcion v Khalid Yafai. Is Yafai ready for this test?

I expect Yafai to beat him up to be honest. Yafai is very strong in most departments - a killer body puncher.

 

Yafai looks the goods to me. Think it will be a hard fought battle though. Comcepcion is tough

I'm an admirer of Yafai and think he's been delayed a lot by injury otherwise he may well have a belt already.
Concepcion is the biz though....this has shades of Mitchel - Linares for me with KY being the Mitchel in this one. I sincerely hope I'm wrong though, both Yafai brothers are very likeable.

 

This will steal the show, great fight and can't wait to see KY against a world class fighter of Concepcion's calibre.
Yafai win for me though, too complete as a fighter.

 

Concepcion is a proper workhorse. Ridiculous workrate from the off. Tbh I think Yafai gets beat. But if it goes the distance and there are a lot of tight rounds you never know.

 

I think the odds are very interesting Concepcion is 2/1 and Yafai 4/9.

I am definitely having a nibble at the 2/1 Concepcion.

I'm having a look at this as well. Thinking of coupling it with Whyte on points.

Need some more input from people who've seen a lot of Concepcion over the years. I've seen only two fights.

Might be more value too in the Charlo-Williams fight.

 

The only thing that makes sense is to bet the under X rounds, either LC eats too many body shots and gasses before final bell or he overwhelms Yafai. I don't see the judges deciding this one.

 

Luis is tough....he might go the distance. But he loses this for me. Doubt he overwhelms yafai, what makes pepole say this?

 

Yafai can win this if he does not get into a tit for tat slugfest. If Kal uses his feel and his jab Concepcion is there to be hit. A war of attrition will suit Luis but Kal should have enough skill to avoid this. Footwork, jab and body shots should deliver the win for Yafai. But without a doubt this guy is a tough slugger, a real hard nut, and is a real threat. Yafais biggest challenge without a doubt.

 

Best fight on the card, I'm leaning towards Conception to outwork Yafai
