Corrales is coiled like a snake, tossing out light southpaw jabs and clearly waiting to spring with a left hand. Fernandez down early on, looked like a slip. He hops around Corrales and tries to check the right jabs with his left. Finally Corrales lets the straight left fly, past a Fernandez right. BOOM!!!!

Mostly it looks like it was a lot of grinding together and strong-arming, with a little body whacking mixed in.

 

I guess Valdez quit on his stool. Not clear.

 

US fans will remember Novoa (possibly ) for starting out very well against Antwone Smith but getting KTFO with a debatable late shot at the round bell, on the same ESPN2 FNF undercard of Breidis Prescott vs. Richard Abril.

Valdez's major claim to fame is getting the **** smacked out of him by Nobuhiro Ishida (resorting to everything from punches to the back of the head to spitting his gum shield out)
