Luis Concepcion vs. Odilón Zaleta RBR

...and now Luis "El Nica" Concepcion is out to some laid-back tune that's just hand-drums and an alto dude singing.

Round 1

Concepcion comes forward with arms down and dares Zaleta to throw, which he does. Daring defense by Concepcion, leaning straight back but still moving forward. Zaleta is backing up and missing lefts. Concepcion starts to stretch out his jab, and score. Clubbing right by Concepcion to the back. Zaleta circles left, hands high. Now over to the right. Left again. Zaleta is using the ring, giving Concepcion a wide berth. Zaleta sticking to the ropes, skipping backward. Concepcion gets close and lands a right. The crowd goes wild. Zaleta holds. Concepcion jumps inside and starts to bob up and down, throwing lefts and rights as he comes swooping in. Zaleta is backed up to the ropes. Concepcion body shot.

Round 2

FIRST PUNCH!!! One second into the round, Zaleta down hard!!! He scrambles up, looking shaken. Concepcion steps in, BIG LEFT HOOK!!! Zaleta is turned over, lying on his stomach. Up again. Concepcion stalks in quickly behind his jab. Hard right to the body by El Nica. Zaleta circles out to his left, keeping his arms pinned high up by his face. Hard left hooks to the body by Concepcion, forcing his way in. Zaleta down a third time, another big hook!!

KO!!!

 

Concepcion is climbing the corners (each of them by turn), and trying to do backflips while standing from the top.

To his credit, he actually stuck the landing every time (with, perhaps, some exaggerated steps to steady himself and some help from his corner folk)...but I'd advise that he stick to boxing and not make the leap to gymnastics. :yep

This was only his 2nd KO win in 11 bouts! :shock:

He's only twenty years old, though, and has decent skills already. His only loss was to Jhonatan Arenas, a good prospect.
