    Round 2

Quintero circles out and jabs, keeping his guard high and tight. Wild slugging from Hinestroza, who is hurling himself inside with left and right uppercuts thrown from almost down below his knees. Hinestroza is completely sacrificing his balance going for the home run swing. Quintero defers the chance to counter, preferring to stay back and focus on keeping the wild old man at range and exercise his significant height advantage. Jab, jab, jab, step to the left. Quintero is boxing tall, leaning back behind his guard and keeping a good pace and a half away from Hinestroza. The elder drops his left arm as he stalks his way in, conserving energy until he's close enough to throw wild kink-armed bombs to the head (missing) and body (elbow checked). Spastic left upper-hook by Hinestroza misses before the bell.

    20-18 Quintero

    Round 3

Hinestroza takes lunging steps around to the left, giving Quintero the space he wants while devising his offensive strategy. Hinestroza is clearly putting some thought into it, feinting and trying different angles of attack to see how Quintero will react. Hinestroza starts launching some jabs up at the forehead, picked off on Quintero's gloves but getting ever closer as Hinestroza stalks in. Hinestroza is still keeping his left arm low, almost imitating a shoulder roll. Stiff jabs landing to the face of Quintero now as Hinestroza gets closer. Quintero winces - hurt! Low blow. Hinestroza is warned for the foul and Quintero takes about ten seconds to recover. Time in. They trade jabs to the bell.

    10-9 Hinestroza

    29-28 Quintero

The first two rounds were similar: Quintero jabbing and backpedaling around the perimeter, with Hinestroza jumping in with awkward but mostly ineffective aggression.

The third was clearly Hinestroza's, as he started to bother Quintero with his own jab and make him too gun-shy to throw anything back. Quintero looked scared for most of the round, and probably milked the "low blow" a bit.

    Round 4

Hinestroza is changing his stance up every few seconds - low left/shoulder roll, crossed-arms/crab, straight-ahead-peekaboo. All the while he's on the front foot and forcing Quintero to jog back and poke out with soft jabs. Hinestroza is looking to rip him with left hooks to the rib underneath those jabs. Hinestroza keeps swiveling himself around on the point of his lead foot to keep up with Quintero and force him into a busy jabbing contest.

    10-9 Hinestroza

    38-38

Hinestroza seems capable of landing the jab against the taller Quintero, but neither man seems interested in throwing much behind their respective lead punches. Makes for a pretty pedestrian fight, at least in the first half.

    Round 5

Quintero jabs and dances back. Hinestroza lunges up out of a crouch and taps him on the forehead with his own jab. A pair of thudding body shots by Hinestroza rocketing in. Quintero covers up and moves left, pawing out with his left jab. Hinestroza waits until he's in mid-recoil and places his own jab to the face. More body shots by Hinestroza, really affecting Quintero. Big exchange. Now Quintero has Hinestroza buzzed and retreating with some dipping and looping lefts and rights!! Wow!! Hinestroza is harried to the ropes, and Quintero keeps landing! Hinestroza throws some shots back, but is slower to get through. Quintero keeps piling it on. Now Hinestroza lands a big body shot just before the bell, seizing momentum back!

Nice round! (last minute and change, anyway)

    Very tough to score that.

    Round 6

Jabs and uppercuts by Quintero. Hinestroza is lunging wildly now from outside, out of position and off balance. Quintero dances in and out, looking much more comfortable now. Jabs high and low by Quintero. Hinestroza tries to squat down and scurry inside, but Quintero backs him up with a clubbing right. Quintero dances to his right and jabs. Now to the left. Body shots by Hinestroza. Quintero headhunts, favoring his jab. Hinestroza down, slip.

    58-56 Quintero

    Round 7

Quintero circles left and holds his jab out as a plank. Hinestroza comes at him low, body turned aside so his right half is facing the opposite direction. Hinestroza tries to fade left or right with a tuck of the waist when Quintero jabs. Lots of clinching this round. Quintero uses his better balance and footwork to maneuver around the ring and keep Hinestroza squatting under his jab. Hinestroza is no longer landing his own high jab. Wild uppercuts to the body from outside by Hinestroza, not quite getting to the target with any major impact. Quintero slaps him with a soft hook while turning him. Lunging right hand by Hinestroza, clips Quintero and pushes his chin up. BIG right hand to the body by Hinestroza. Another.

    67-66 Quintero

    Round 8

Quintero steps right up to the plate and starts jabbing. Hinestroza is trying to maximize on his awkwardness, using some elastic contortionist moves to lean back at the waist and slip the jab before snapping back with body shots. Hinestroza is leading with longbow rights to the body while tilting his head under the Quintero jab. Hinestroza is getting closer. Too close, as Quintero spins him into a corner and then tees off - and floors him!! Hinestroza is up. Hit immediately with a right by an eager finisher in Quintero, and down again!!! Jab, hook, third knockdown!!

    Nocaut!!!!

Yeah. This was the co-feature. The main event should be up very soon. The ring return of El Nica, following his rollercoaster 2011. (close war with Tyson Marquez, resulting in a stoppage loss...astonishing destruction of tough Chango Vargas....then an even more astonishing destruction at the hands of his rival Tyson Marquez...)

Quintero definitely has a knack for finishing. Hinestroza didn't appear to be that hurt after the first kd (admittedly the quality of my computer sucks), but Quintero certainly finished him off in short order after dropping him the first time.
