Arisitdes Quintero's nickname "El Fusil" means "The Rifle".

Apt, considering that his more technically correct straight booming right hand just overcame those drawn-back telegraphed rights of the more awkward Hinestroza.

    Rifle > bow.

The conquest of the Americas proved that. :D

Yeah, when he got up the first time it was "Oh, maybe we'll get a nice slugfest down the stretch and get to see how the judges had th-" and then the moment he was on his way to the canvas for the second time all those thoughts flew out the window. I'm honestly surprised Hinestroza got up from the second one, and from there it was just a game of whack-a-mole.

    "STAY DOWN!"

I don't think it was a 3-kd rule in effect down in Panama, even though there was no count. I think it was just ref's discretion to say "nah...that's enough..."

One more swing bout before the main event.

Zapir Rasulov vs. Joel Cassiani, 6 rounds @ light welterweight

I think this may be pre-recorded.

Yeah. I have to admit having rooted for Hernan throughout their rivalry, but I'd be happy to see Concepcion get his career back on track against other opponents and do well. :good

There's something about watching a guy crash hard onto his back in the space of a split second, after getting kd'd twice in a short period of time that will convince even the bravest officials to call off the fight. :good

    Yeah, this was pre-recorded filler.

Rasulov mauled Cassiani with vicious body punches, scoring two knockdowns in rapid succession about a minute in and causing the referee to dispense with the second count as Cassiani remained on one knee sucking wind.

Damn, who the hell is this Zapir Rasulov???

With that victory, he is now 25-0 (23) :scaredas:

Quite padded, although he did blow out that Cassiani fellow a good deal faster than did either Breidis Prescott or Ameth Cloroformo Diaz. :think

    Round 1

Hidrogo glides around and throws lead rights, drawing Estrada into exchanges that result in Hidrogo getting the better of him and stunning him and/or Estrada clinching. Estrada doing most of his landing in the clinches, with his free hand to the sides of Hidrogo.

    10-9 Hidrogo

    Round 2

Hidrogo keeps circling around the southpaw, throwing lead rights to the head and body. Estrada holds his right arm out straight ahead, and tries to sharpshoot with his left from too far out. Hidrogo falls in with his rights and gets tied up frequently. Estrada down after a right to the body, ruled a slip.

    20-18 Hidrogo

    Round 3

Estrada holds out his right jab, measuring. Hidrogo loads up on chopping rights to the body, then backs up.

Uh...wtf? They've stopped showing that footage now. Just the empty ring.

That was surreal. One minute, we're in the middle of a round - then, both boxers and the official vanish.
