I believe this young Boricua badass will become a world champ one day. The way he busted up Antonio Davis was impressive. He is faster than JML and Cotto, and his power is impressive, and I love the way he sets up his uppercut. Looking forward on his next fight!
i believe he has a better technique than lopez, and is faster...he has the tools to be an elite fighter
He's a great technician for such a young and inexperienced fighter. Can see him doing big things. The WBO Super Featherweight title which is about to be vacated by Ricky Burns is one he could quite possibly fight for, as he is ranked in the top 3 by the organisation alongside Adrien Broner. What a fight that would be!
WTF is with all the way off-base readings of Cruz's speed???? :? First Juan LaPorte (retired ring legend, and Top Rank Live Stream color commentator) kept ripping Cruz a new ******* for being so slow of hand, commenting on it in literally every single round. He did make a good point about Cruz needing to throw in combination more often, but he seemed way too harsh about the speed. Now we've got claims he's faster than Lopez and Cotto! atsch What is with all these opposite ends of the spectrum? The dude's hand speed is decidedly average. It isn't stand-out good or stand-out bad. His power, timing, punch placement and especially that evil uppercut - those are his standout good traits. :deal (the only really standout bad trait being his one-and-done habit most of the time).
A study in absolute opposites. :nod Flash, speed and athleticism versus precision, technique and power.
