a statement from a fool not a real boxing fan without peters the boxing scene in ireland would be dead he hasnt got the money as in britain ireland is 10 times smaller but he makes do and he gets his fighters out as regular as any promoter ive never seen any of his cards be as bad as some on sky and he put on one of the fights of the year last year between dunne and cordoba which was a fantastic night of boxing and the fighters on his cards arent exactly shite mate maybe not top world class but decent enough casey hylands macklin mcccloskey murray the 3 cubans and a wealth of young talent coming through like fitzpatrick conlon mcdonaghs etc..
please...........as far as im concerned the pro scene here is dead with or without peters, his cards are miles from european level most days let alone top world class, just because these guys are from the same country as me does not mean im gonna jump on their cocks, i love watching good, competitive world class boxing and brian peters does not produce any of the above bar macklin and the cubans, im not gonna kid myself and watch that **** listening to crappy commentary from a 90 year old man and brutal analysis from a grey haired tosser who owns a poxy shop out in terenure ripping ****s off, the whole set up needs a revamp and is cringe worthy to watch, btw these views are not from a minority
You're entitled to your own opinion mate, but I'd like to say that I have attended several Brian Peters shows and apart from a couple of duds (which every promotion has) I thoroughly enjoyed them. I think Peters deserves all the credit in the world for bringing what was a dead sport here in Ireland for years back to life.
Its a nice to step up for Garcia. Mitchell didn't really give Shumenov much of a test when he was just 7-0 so if Garcia is the real deal he should be able to take the old Mitchell apart. He looked good enough on the last RTE bill, am excited to see him again.
