I don't know about you guys, but I've gone through recent youtube videos showing Luis Ortiz training for the bout against Wilder and he looks in damn good shape. Expecting Wilder to come even slimmer than in their first bout from what I could see in his recent training videos, Ortiz will probably try to catch up with that. What do you make out of it? I can't wait for the fight man! This content is protected
He was well to the eye anyway in the best shape of his career against hammer but he looked a shadow of his former shadow in that fight. This content is protected
Idk man you’d have to go back to 1880s, I reckon he was in a better shape back then, he also started boxing late, at the age of 36, so you’d have to track back to 1860s to see how he looked in his 20s. Maybe there are some records of his early career collecting dust in a museum
Damn, that's the angriest looking turtle I've seen in a while. Ortiz seems happy and into it. Maybe, just maybe, he's even better for the rematch. I like that they are working on cardio and conditioning. That was his hole last time. Wilder could be in for a surprise.
Ortiz is a beast. There's a reason why no other top HW wishes to go any near him I could see an upset if Wilder is not on point on the night
Yeah I just imagine, if Ortiz trained that way years ago, he'd been HW Champion by now. Wilder could be in for a surprise, but so could Ortiz. I've seen Wilder using more and more a sharp left hook in trainings. One of those he used against Breazeale in the fight. Maybe Wilder started working on technique after all those years? King Kong should watch out for Wilder's left hand aswell. Edit: Yeah his performance against Hammer wasn't great, but I can imagine he didn't give 100% to bait some Heavyweights to get in a fight with him. At least, he showed some creative openings against Hammer and in my eyes landed more and won the fight clearly, even if I expected a KO. But hammer was anti-boxing, going into distance from very early in the fight.
After doing a little digging I’ve found that the ancient star that scientists believe pre dates the universe has been named Ortiz.
The ''Ortiz is old'' joke is as old as Ortiz's speculative age, even though he looks younger and fitter than Tyson Fury who looks like he's 45 years old and no one questions his real age.
How does he look older than Riddick Bowe? Are you going to tell me Tyson Fury looks younger than all these guys?
Quite right. Looking good and actually producing results are very different. Ortiz looked pretty done at the top level in the Hammer fight to me. Hammer is actually decent enough but he should be food for King Kong.
