Do you think Mayweather ever put on as good performance against a welterweight as great as Griffith?

I mean it doesn't matter on the scale of how good they if Rodriguez is significantly technically inferior does it? But as for the question I think Pacquaio, Alvarez, Cotto, DLH were all superior to both of them.

I also prefered Griffith solid work over Rodriguez's arm punches for the most part.

LMR is a nightmare for Floyd: his jab, his output, his offensive variety, his own movement, his gas tank, his ability to switch up tactics: Rodriguez would be the best welterweight Floyd ever faced, and yes I’m including Pacquiao in that. Rodriguez is in no way overrated IMO.

LMR got by with ‘decent fundamentals’ christ I’ve heard it all now. He was a bizarre stylist, did loads of weird stuff. I’m pretty certain Burley has never actually watched him or has zero eye for what he’s watching.

I don't think he's watched him at all.

I feel there are valid arguments for Floyd tbh, but I honestly think he's never watched a single fight of his.

I've watched him. You seem to be a fan. But his skill isn't top level by a long shot.

You seem to see great stamina as a knock on a fighter? It's one of the most important attributes in boxing

Prime LMR goes 4-0 vs the version Floyd faced. Behave yourself now.

I've watched plenty of him. I know you guys are big fans but I don't think you guys know much about boxing technique tbh

I don't think he does. But who knows. Rodriguez is a workrate attrition boxer who is very basic. Maybe he could outwork some of them. But they all had more speed and skill than him. It's not close.

Pretty much everything that’s available....I’ve even made a couple of threads about him ....I’m actually trying really hard to like him ...hopefully he’ll grow on me like Griffith

In your opinion what does Rodriguez do better...Floyd Mayweather is a really good infighter when he wants to be ...he’s also a good body puncher

No one thinks Cotto is more skillful than LMR, no one.

It's not so much about what he does better because they aren't the same style of fighter.

It's more about the stylistic problems LMR poses.

I'm not sold on the result either way tbh.

I'm against the notion of people assuming a victory without watching the other man fight though
