15 rounds welterweight championship on the line. Best vs best. Who you got and more importantly why?

Yuck. I have no clue who wins. Curry was quicker. I could see LMR changing levels to catch Curry upstairs unawares.

Its an intriguing match up because Curry is tough to beat if you were going to outbox him. On the other hand Luis Rodriguez was more if a boxer-swarmer, if that makes sense, and could possibly tough up Curry on the inside. On the other other hand Curry handled Starling fairly well on the inside. On the other other other hand El Feo was more than capable of imposing himself on middleweights and was damned hard to discourage.

Screw it Flea let's argue about Dempsey and Marciano!

Nice write up, Curry was strong enough to push Starling back which is no mean feat. Curry was strong, if they fight at say 154 (and both come in at the low 150s) I think a prime Curry could hold his own.

Rodriguez is unpredictable though, and while the Starling Stomp was a showboating tactic usually, Rodriguez's bouncing facilitates his ability to pop his jab and step in with his counters. Curry might find it hard to get off against LMR and I certainly think El Feo has a better chance at dictating the pace than McCallum managed (or looked to be able too before that shot)

It'd be really close IMO. It's hard to call, but Rodriguez hit well enough and I think if he pulled out a big shot like he did against McClure to drop him in their first fight it could be a game changer.

LMR is exactly the fighter Curry doesn't like. Unorthodox, quick and won't go away.

It would be an excellent fight..a lot of close rounds, probably a lot of early ones for Curry.
But I think LMR draws Don into fight he doesn't like and gradually zaps him of energy with a dedicated and varied body attack.

Over 15 I'd say El Feo gets him late.
