Two of the finest boxers to ever step in the ring. Rodriquez never gets mentioned like Napoles does even though Rodriquez has the much better resume.
Who would you see winning and why?

Could you tell us how Luis has a much better resume? I watch them fight very often but I don’t know the history. Genuine question.

Well for starters he beat Giambra, Hilton, Benton,Carter, Briscoe and Mundane which all 6 were outstanding MIDDLEWEIGHT contenders.
He has wins over Cokes,Griffith,Paret, Atkins, at welterweight and while Napoles beat Griffith and Cokes as well I would say Rodriguez faced a prime Griffith who was at the very top of his game.
And remember the losses Luis suffered against Griffith were all split decisions and one is commonly considered a robbery.
As a matter of fact 6 of his 13 losses were by split decision and 3 of those losses occurred vs the same boxer.
He also has a win against Denny Moyer who was a jr.middleweight champion as well as a win vs Vicente Rondon who latter captured a piece of the light heavy title.
Now I could see Napoles being rated higher at Welterweight due to his accomplishments at that weight but if we are talking about the overall boxing career Rodriguez has the more impressive resume considering he was beating legitimate middleweight contenders while a welterweight essentially.
