Damn, as tough as Brandon is, i cant see him winning this fight. But should be a war for as long as it goes
Not only is he going to win it, he's going to knock Nery unconscious, Stank-LSC style. Nery is a violent KO waiting to happen. Sure he beat down Yamanaka, I predicted he would, both times. But that had a lot to do with Yamanaka being shot to hell, and being dropped or hurt in several previous matches, and made to order for a guy like Nery. But since then, who has he beaten? Arroyo? Who was pulverized by Ancajas, and fighting two weight divisions higher than he should've been? He beat the shell of Villanueva, who is't all that heavy handed, but he still managed to drop Nery. It took him way too long to stop the corpse of Payano. And by all rights, with fair scoring, Alameda would have taken his 0. Brandon is too big, too accurate and too heavy handed for a guy like Nery to get reckless with, and the only way Nery can fights is by getting reckless.
Great fight but there’s is another thing that has my attention involving this fight. We’re about to find out how deeply wretched the WBA and WBC is with this fight. If they advertise this as an unification then it’ll expose how deep their into Al Haymon’s checkbook. The WBC never recognized the WBA regular and the Super WBA champ Akhmadaliev is already unified with the IBF.
I like brandon but i think Nery is too strong for him, i think he has some success but hes like his brother and likes to mix it up, thing is nery isnt the type of guy you want to do that with. And im not even a fan of nery.
Top fight. Hopefully Fulton will fight Aleem and the winners of the 2 can fight in a big unification bout.
Don't forget he blatantly weight cheated Yama in the rematch. Pretty sure he's going to weight cheat Brandon too, or something simular.
I think they're about the same in terms of strength. Brandon doesn't look like he has any trouble making weight, and if he can handle a war with Ceja, who I'd also give a decent chance at beating Nery, he can handle one with Luis. Although I'm not sure Luis can handle one with him.
Idk, i have to factor in the experience of nery in this one. I think its going to boil down to whos tougher. We'll see.
