Hrgovic is number 1. Ortiz will now be called to a final eliminator for Hrgovic.

If he doesn’t take it hrgovic will fight Parker or zhang

Ortiz looked shot, he legs have gone and he was always a plodder to start with, relying on his powerful counters to discourage opponents pressing him. Fact is he wasted his prime years, ducked Ustinov, ducked AJ, ducked Hrgovic and his 2 best wins are now Jennings and Martin.

How good was he in his prime? I think at his best he was a fringe contender but never really one of the top guys, he never fought enough proven guys to make his flaws obvious to fans who don't really study the art of boxing. His lack of movement would of always hurt him at the top level, he wouldn't of been able to cut off the ring against the bigger more mobile heavies, guys like Chisora would of been all over him as he couldn't keep him off him and either he KO's Chisora coming in like Haye did or Ortiz can't take the pressure and is KO'ed himself as Ortiz is clearly not very durable.

I honestly couldn't say he was clearly better than Chisora or Whyte or Parker. He's at a similar level and I wouldn't make him at his best a clear favourite over either of them.

Martin again failed when stepping up, Joshua, Kownacki and now Ortiz. Only reason he did so well was because Ortiz was shot or close to it. He's not even Whyte, Chisora, Parker level, he's more Kownacki, Washington, old shopworn Helenius level. He makes too many mistakes and when hit he freezes.

Both of the shots he went down on were **** weak. Both Chisora and Parker are near enough gate keepers in the top 10 and they would have put the geriatric out in 3.

The shot that put Parker down from Chisora may have ended t he old man’s life

One of those uppercuts from Parker’s last fight would have put his dentures through the roof, along with his kneecaps

Hahaha - ducking Ortiz? The same Ortiz that turned down his biggest paydays to fight Joshua and Whyte?

    He’s not a boogeyman, never has been - never will be . He’s ****.

    “He looked a little fragile”

What gave it away, the 90 year old knee caps or the fact his chin was cracked from a jab?

You’d still pick him over Parker, Hrgovic, Whyte and Chisora though, huh?

Hell, I’d put $100 on Helenius to beat Ortiz.

    :roflmao:

bUt He$ tHA bOOgeyMan doe :periodico:

    Load of bollocks.

He was clearly better than Chisora. Chisora is absolutely crap. But Ortiz is fragile now.

Also, if an absolute pudding in Andy Rice Pudding Jr can batter Joshua, then given the right circumstances (a bit of good fortune) then Ortiz definitely could capitalise in the same way.

“Chisora is absolute crap” - The same crap fighter that warranted a rematch with god almighty Fury?

How much did it pain you to see Joshua win the rematch against Ruiz Pudding Jr?

We will never know how good Luis Ortiz is as like Wilder has not fought the other top guys in the division.
This is just fact that you cannot overcome. To suggest Ortiz would beat Joshua just shows you don't know what your talking about.
    Your bias is blinding....

It's funny to think that this has basically doubled Ortiz's legacy, now that he has good wins against Jennings and Martin.

The Empire State Building better watch out, I guess.

Clearly better you say but never fought half as many good names as Chisora. If Ortiz had fought guys like Vitali, Haye, Whyte, Pulev, Fury x2 etc, I bet Ortiz would have a bunch of losses too and have the record of a gate keeper.

Now I'm not saying Ortiz doesn't beat Chisora, I'd actually have Ortiz a favourite but a slight favourite, he wasn't clearly better than him because he never proved it in the ring. All the hypothetical talk and speculation is fine and all but that's all it is talk it's not backed up by proven results. Fact is Ortiz has done nothing in the ring to prove he's clearly better than the guys I named.

You can disagree with me and that's fine because fact is Ortiz is a bit of an enigma because he never fought many good names and has only 2 mediocre wins as Jennings and Martin it's hard to gauge how good he really was. But I rather deal in what he proved in the ring rather the possible hypothetical ability.

Martin really needs to sort out the lazy jabs. It's what got him put down by AJ and now again, counter off his lazy jab and he's out on his feet. It's a real weakness.

Holy ****, Wilder's resume is terrible.

Joshua, even the one from the first Ruiz fight, would have knocked Ortiz out in less than 6 rounds.
