I love this fight, so I'm glad it's being made. If Whyte shows him any respect he gets outboxed and possibly even stopped.

I do however think Whyte shows zero respect, roughs him up and drops and stops him around the 8th. I done think Ortiz has a good chin.

I hope this fight happens but I doubt it will. Everything was pointing to a rematch with Del Boy.

I doubt it happens either. Boxing first and foremost is a business unfortunately and the Chisora fight just like the Parker fight before is the more lucrative option.

Why would anyone fight Ortiz when he brings so little to the table, he's all risk and no reward. Yes we joke he's an old man and on heart meds but in all seriousness he's a damn dangerous fighter for anyone.

I suspect you're right it's just a tactic to bring down Chisora's demands.

Problem is you can't sit back and let Ortiz take a break. Whyte needs to pressure him and rough him up and not give him any room to operate, otherwise he likely gets out boxed. He's not fleet footed and fast handed to sit back and box.

Joshua and Parker fight nothing like Ortiz and who's to say Ortiz hits harder than either guy? Who of note has he actually knocked out? Jennings? A guy who stood and traded giving away every advantage he had and fighting in a manor he'd never done so before...?

 

Unfortunately Hearn has their previous fight so he pretty much has nothing to do to sell whyte/chisora 2, the rematch sells itself.

I’d prefer to see whyte fight Ortiz and chisora fight miller or Breazeale but at the same time fair play to both men if they take the rematch as that first fight was a hard hard fight for both men and the rematch will be too

Gotta love whytes rampage attitude at the moment though, I hope he gets the AJ rematch as he’s worked bloody hard for it! And that’s coming from an AJ fan
