    This will either

    A - Give Wilders resume a boost
    or
    B - Expose Wilder's resume

    I can't wait

Ortiz is overrated but i must say he is skillful. This would not be an upset if he derailed Joe imo.

    Too old.

Joyce puts a jab on him, keeps him there before rolling through him late fight once he slows.

Impressed for Ortiz to take that fight & a great fight for Joyce to exhibit his outboxing ability.

Lets make the fight then, these two have been circling each other for a while. Last time Joyce's team said Joyce needed a few more fights before Ortiz, well that's now happened and Joyce is riding high. I said recently it sounded like Joyce had a little dig at Ortiz to try and get him to call him out well that's now happened, so no excuses can be made by either side now.

I favour Joyce, I think he'll fight smart in the first half of the fight, jabbing, moving much like the Dubois fight, wait til Oriz tires and then step on the gas gradually and if the opportunity comes, take him out. Basically the game plan Wilder used.

Ortiz will be dangerous early but I think he's seen his best days, he couldn't stop Kaufmann or Hammer, so Joyce should be able to take this late and break Ortiz down.

Wonder if Ortiz is old enough now for the rest of the division (outside AJ) to stop pretending he doesnt exist.

This would look like Chisora/Fury 2. Although I don't believe the hype around Joyce, he makes easy work of the geriatric Cuban.
TKO stoppage by round 10 - Joyce. Ortiz won't win a single round and will struggle to buzz Joyce at all.

Great fight. I,d take ortiz to win that fight...only because joyce is almost a perfect opponent for him in terms of he throws a lot. Ortiz likes to work off your work. Wilder was smart by reducing his punch output against him...i reckon that was intentional going in...although people will argue maybe rightfully so that ortiz made wilder throw less.

Ortiz a counter puncher. I remember jennings hitting him by a lot more punches but ended up getting busted up cause ortiz lured him in. The problem ortiz has had is they kept sticking him in with backfoot fighters like the boy thats training wilder just now.

Fancy ortiz but interesting fight because joyce is relentless and ortiz isnt getting any younger. I think he,d make joe pay tho. Good fight.

I like Ortiz. But it's all eye test. He never ever beat anyone other than Jennings. A shame. He looks good but fought nobody except Wilder and Jennings. And let's be honest, Jennings was nothing special. Ortiz is a complete waste of a heavyweight who could have been in many interesting fights. He's probably shot at his point. Too old.

I predict.....no way this fight happens unless a lot of money is involved.

Joyce by mid-rounds. Ortiz must be getting close to his 50th by now...

I like this fight. It figures to have some tense action and a fair share of drama. I slightly favor Joyce as he has been more active recently and has relative youth on his side.

I love that people still pump up Ortiz, simply because he lost to Wilder (and almost KO'd Wilder).
He sucks, honestly. What is all the hype about, please tell me, because I've never understood it?

He went life and death with a beyond past it Christian Hammer for god's sake. Hammer was knocked out by Wach almost 10 years prior :risas3:
Wilder's HR team obviously weren't thrilled about his fight with Hammer, they were in damage control mode and deleted the full fight and highlights - just like the Sconiers fight. Anything to protect and hype that record!

Tell me, who has Ortiz fought again?

Decision against Scuba Scott and stopped Bryant Jennings - wow, sign him up as an ATG immediately. Oh, I forgot the outstanding dive job from Flores too. You can't make this stuff up.

Ortiz is more dangerous than other oldies Stiverne or Takam although Joyce should deal with him even if it's another decision win like Jennings.

Ortiz is now at least 55 years old.
