Luis Ortiz couldnt even stop scott and that was 2 years ago!

Wilder delayed the fight with Ortiz until he was CERTAIN Ortiz had slowed with age.

Four years ago, Wilder was afraid of fighting him. But now with Ortiz being unimpressive in his past few fights and having been inactive for a full year until he fought a very soft opponent in December, Wilder has overcome his fear and feels he can beat the old man.

 

well, duh, yeah it's an easy fight for Wilder. His game plan plays right into Wilder's. I don't even expect to see anything new out of Deontay.

I don't know why the english speaking world has been so taken with Ortiz. He's got a following in the spanish community but all spanish fighters do and his isn't particularly impressive. He seem to have more european fans than carribean fans.

Old Man Ortiz has been cleared by the nursing home, his medicare will pay for his blood pressure meds, Lipitor, his walker, all Haymon has to do is find a way to get him to the ring..................AARP will help him.............actually, Ortiz will be 39 in March, but reports have come out that have him to be around 48 - 19 years old, almost 50.............still, he could be a problem for Wilder.................even though he is way over the hill..........something is stranger or Haymon would never allow Wilder to fight Ortiz, something is wrong, perhaps Ortiz failed his tests, such as his physical.................?

If you remember the fight, Scott quite clearly didn't beat one of the counts but the ref just let him continue.

Scuba Scott is actually quite good(to a certain extent) but he is a mental midget.
But yea, Ortiz looked his best in 15/16.
