Here are some facts for you melon farmers.

    1) Ortiz is OLD as hell, not boxer old, actually old.

    2) he struggled with Malik Scott lmao

    3) he struggled with Dave Allen, who was actually outboxed far worse against Lenroy Thomas

    4) he's a bum

I'm backing Wilder, mainly due to being burned too many times by Cuban defectors at the bookies.

They have no motivation once the contract is signed for the big $$$ fights.

Yes, I, once again, agree with Zakman.....................Wilder has never fought a legit fighter in his entire career! A 50 year old Ortiz? How much is left of him? Parker will fight Joshua, Wilder refused out of fear! He knows Joshua will knock him out..............Wilder will keep fighting winos from the alley!

Right on the money Farmy. This guy is a total fraud and fighting Granpa Ortiz won't change that. Hell, if one of those slow punches that Ortiz throws happens to clip Wilder on that fragile mandible, even this mediocrity could defeat this glass jawed conman!

Alright, most of the posters here seem to be in agreement with this statement because, well, they don't like Wilder, and who knows? Maybe it's true.

But to those of you who believe that Ortiz is really 50 (or 42, 44, or whatever) here's an interesting question; how old is Rigondeaux? Like Ortiz, Rigo is Cuban, like Ortiz, he visually appears to be older, and like ORtiz, he's Cuban.

Here's the interesting thing though, I will that practically everyone here who adheres to Ortiz being much older will for some strange reason(?) believe Rigo is the age he claims, or even younger!

    So here are the questions:

    1. How old is Ortiz?

    2. Do you like Wilder?

    3. How old is Rigondeaux?

    4. Do you like Chenko?

    Have at it...

I hate Rigo, Love Lomachenko. I like Ortiz and I like Wilder.

I picked Loma to stop Rigo. Now I'm picking Wilder to stop Ortiz.

I don't care how old any of them are, Ortiz is a threat to Wilder regardless of his age and should be considered as such.

Wilder fans will go insane if Wilder beats an aged Ortiz, this forum will be lit.

Two things, firstly assuming Wilder wins an aged Ortiz will be Wilders best win by a mile, I still believe that rather sad all things considered.

And Joshua got very little credit from Wilder fans for beating an "Old Man" in Klitschko.

Holyfield got little credit for beating old foreman and holmes. He got criticise for struggling a bit with both.

The same applies to Wilder. He'll get ridiculed if he struggle or lost. His stock will drop.

You're right, Ortiz will be Wilder's best opponent, I was highly critical of Wilder for his first 30 fights or so, but the matched him soft for one reason...

He couldn't fight, and his management knew it.

He had very few amateur fights, terrible balance, and hadn't grow into his body yet, and really, no skill. So they banked upon him him learning to use his gifts over time, and he has. Wilder has had fights against two of the top 6 or 7 hwyts fall through, as far as we know, that had nothing to do with him.

I don't think Wilder is nearly 50. Most of his opponent's yes. Him? No.
