Luis Ortiz is a more dangerous and complete fighter than Joseph Parker. Let's be honest.

Ortiz is a very well schooled fighter. Sound technique, good counter puncher, big puncher and not that easy to hit.

Parker does hold some advantages though. He's faster, more agile, younger and fresher.

I am hispano, I'm Puerto Rican and live in Florida but I still get spanish HW boxing shoved down my throat by the media. There were three guys in the Latin world who were seen as potential Wlad enders when they started their careers. Luis Ortiz or course, Irineu Beato Costa Junior, and Matias Ariel Vidondo all in 2010.

What happened was around 2011 Ortiz started to make a push toward world ranking by picking up letter belts in the latin world. There were several Kong picked up at that time but the important one was the WBA latino that guaranteed world rating on the WBA ladder. Costa Jr and Vidondo settled their dispute in 2011 as well with Costa coming out on top and picking a Latin world letter belt of his own but this didn't get him ranked on the world stage yet just in position to be ranked.

Once both Ortiz and Costa Jr had Latino letter belts they both thought it was a good idea to tread water and pad their records for a year or so. Kong has some questionable fights on his record in 2012, Costa has nothing but questionable fights in 2012, but at least Costa didn't fight a debut who never fought again.

2013 rolls around and Costa fights for another Latin letter belt but this one guarantees world ranking in the WBO. Which happens by early 2014. 2013 for Ortiz is about displaying his wares in the US taking out respected journeymen to increase his position. He jumps from being ranked 8 by the WBA in 2011 to rank 2 by 2014. Considering the caliber of men he fought in 2012 I assume his climbing was justified by fellas like Barrett.

By early 2014 Luis was to challenge for the WBA reg and Costa was to make his way up the WBO ranks. Kong whoops Lateef and Costa gets hammered by Hammer.

The point is King Kong did duck a fella. I can't say he was any good, but Kong was meant to fight Costa Jr back when they were both latin champions similarly to how Fury fought Chisora or Joshua and Whyte. That gap in 2012 where both Kong and Costa are fighting bull**** fights, that's when they were supposed to fight but it didn't happen because Luis got an easy ride through the WBA ranks mostly due to the other guys who ranked above him losing while he kept on winning so instead of taking the logical challenge he padded his record.

Costa wasn't very good, and I did back Hammer going into that fight. He was a latino hypejob and nothing more, but he was Ortiz's hypejob to expose.

Ortiz would.beat Parker even at his advanced age.Parker is a very average fighter .the wave of hype he is riding is crazy .Casual fans I know seem to think Parker is the second coming of Foreman!Who has he faced? .Aj should win without trouble .A blow out I think with Parker trapped on the ropes in typical AJ fashion.

You're right, but.... Wilder is a bigger puncher than AJ, and AJ isn't more skilled than Ortiz.

Lol! I thought it was a nice change of pace from the usual drivel written around here. I agree with the op though. Id take Ortiz over Parker in a fight.

Decent opinions but ZERO FACT to support your opinions.

Nobody on Ortiz ledger would beat Takam, Ruiz Jr or Fury.

Jennings is an excellent W, but doesn't have the size or power to to beat the afformentioned.

Thompson, pre Wlad would likely beat Ortiz, but at 45, he was just a stay busy fight.

I'd favor Dimitrenko to beat everyone Ortiz has as well.

Ortiz performance was excellent I'll agree, but I've been saying for yrs that his skinny little legs under that giant upper body would see him KTFO.

Parkers chin would let him get Ortiz into his wheelhouse early and end him faster than Wilder did.

He also blatantly ducked Boxino HW winner, Andrej Fedosov, who signed to fight Ortiz for 105k.
Ortiz did not sign his contract and GBP and HBO had to change the date and fought Thompson instead

Ortiz is also better than wilder.....doctors help, refs help. Poor Ortiz had to fight them all. Don't go over there Aj, corrupt to the core stay in little England earning 10x the money wilder is making and having 4,500 at weigh ins.

The point of this post was to prove Luis Ortiz is a far more quality win than Joseeph Parker.

No surprise that as soon as it ended Sky sports desperately trying to push the narrative that Joseph Parker was a fearsome undefeated champion. Parker had a nice counter jab but as predicted he rushed all his work and on top of which the referee wouldn't let him work on the inside.

Well at least they didn't just give Joshua another free TKO, like they did in the Takam fight.

At no point did I say he has a great gas tank, I said it's better than AJ's. AJ came in lighter this weekend which seemed to help with his stamina, not that it was a particularly high output fight anyway.
