Good to see him active again . he will be facing a journeyman though. Hes ranked ## with the wbc and # 3 with the wba Im hoping to see him fight another top level opponent besides Wilder this time after wards https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/luis-ortiz-to-face-alexander-flores-on-nov-7/160835
Another early KO for Ortiz then. Had no realistic hope of him fighting anyone decent, that's just not going to happen unless it's another PBC heavy they are looking to build up for a title shot. Would be nice if he and Andy Ruiz Jr could make a fight once he's finished with what's left of Arreola but until then we can expect the usual quick KO's over journeymen types.
Breaking news: Luis Ortiz takes out the garbage again for trash day.. Bravo PBC you have the #5 Ortiz and #6 Ruiz ranked HWs fighting guys outside of the top 20 instead of facing each other. That fight doesn’t need a buildup. Promoters continue to milk the fans Callum Smith vs BJS should be happening next instead of each guy facing tuneups..
Why is it the only men brave enough to take on the bogeyman are all low level scrubs known to go down easy? One of those weird mysteries of life.
Business pretty much always comes first in boxing The talent pool who are suitable to fight a high risk low reward Ortiz is small. He is old AF and should retire. 6 round gas tank. Can't handle the young big strong heavys.
I like Ortiz but after destroying Jennings he has fought Thompson Scott Allen Martz Wilder Cojanu Kauffman Hammer Flores Nothing but bums of the highest order.
