Good fight, better than Briggs - Stiverne. The real King Kong has a huge reach advantage, I think he will beat Bermane by UD. You never know if Bermane can land one of his big counter punches, and if Ortiz got a decent chin.

Disagree there. Briggs Stiverne would have been awesome. They are essentially the same fighter, except one is smaller and younger. Otherwise, low volume, good chins, fast hands, great power, about as identical as fighters get. Would have been interesting.

It should be billed as King Kong Vs. The Predator.

(The Real King Kong is Ortiz' nickname)

Good fight I would of preferred Jennings vs Ortiz but this is a decent contingency fight.

Ortiz by UD. I'd give the edge to Stiverne in a slugfest, but he's easy to outbox. This is a chance for Ortiz to prove he has skills along with power.

This is an interesting HW fight if it comes off.

EDIT: Actually, Ortiz appears to like letting his hands go. I'm not sure how good his punch resistance is, but Stiverne isn't very active in the ring. If Ortiz can take a punch, he might just outwork -or even stop- Stiverne in this one. Stiverne will have counter opportunities though, so he could also put Ortiz in some trouble.

I don't know who wins this one. Let's hope it happens.

Why? When did Ortiz suddenly become a real contender outside of wacko world WBA? His best win is totally shot Monte Barret at about age 45. Maybe he can beat Stiverne, but there's no real reason to believe so at this point.

This fight is not predictable by anyone through anything but luck.

How sill Ortiz perform without PEDS?

Will Stiverne come in as the realtively in shape guy that s****ed by Ray Austin and got to Arreola, or as the fat **** who got stopeed by Demetrice King and out boxed (Lol!) by Deontay Wilder?

Either guy could win, or it could be a lumbering draw.

    We shall see.

I am very confident in Ortiz taking Stiverne out. Very.

I don't think he has earned "real contender" status but nobody at HW really is one anyway and I see what I see.

Intriguing fight, two guys that are probably going to be ducked by the up and comers whatever the result.
