He's only been taken the distance once in his third fight. The other two were DQ's. He's a top rate boxer. It will take somebody really tough to beat him.

Just have to see his chin tested but that looks solid. I'm not meaning to get carried away here but there's a chance he could beat anybody.

I think people are going to duck him until he gets old. Will be a damn tough ask for anybody right now. Great skills, size and real power.

That's sound advice and I really, really should heed it. I know the result of the one I want to watch too. That's not how I roll though. But I really wish it was.

Maybe I'll stay up and watch but only if the fight I want to see is on first.

Yeah he does look like Bowe. But I think he may have more punching power than Bowe did. Tonight was the first time I seen Ortiz fight. He is a contender for sure. I don't think Fury or Wilder will be in any hurry to face Ortiz. Ortiz has a Razor Ruddock type uppercut. Only thing not in Ortiz favor is that he is already 36. Where the hell has he been? He has the power that may have stop Wlad the egg years ago.

Ortiz had a great scrap with Roman Romanchuk in the amateurs. Romanchuk was a hell of a fighter too. He would've made serious noise as a pro. This is one of the highest scoring amateur contests you'll ever see.

Wilder must be sorry he hadn't faced Jennings when he had the chance. Now the best gatekeeper he could possibly have is wasted.

Jennings would've been a huge risk, and Ortiz knocking him out doesn't change that. Despite the final result, Jennings was still able to get in close early and often. The difference is that Ortiz has some inside game (even if relegated to left uppercuts, and power-slamming his bulky shoulders to ricochet opponents into range for those uppercuts) and Wilder has nothing like that left uppercut to make Jennings pay once he gets inside. Unless he catches him with a right hand on the way in, Wilder could be screwed once Jennings starts clinging to him and tearing up his body.

Reminds me of a southpaw Greg Page at his best. Wonder if he can be consistent.

Probably because the live card on HBO (& simulcast on HBO Latino) ended before the maximum allotted time of 12:30am, meaning The Fight Game went on earlier than scheduled. Everything just falling into line, domino style.

I thought it might go that way, it usually does, which is why I checked.
