Ortiz has impressed me but I'm sticking to a wait and see attitude considering the track record of Cuban heavyweights. Jennings is a legit top 5 and would at least five Povetkin and Wilder tough fights. Might beat Fury.

Won't happen. Ortiz would beat Jennings easily.

Any knowledgeable boxing fan can see that.

Price punched much harder then Thompson but got knocked out too.
It's not all about power, it's also about skills, and I think Jennings is the more skilled fighter of the 2. Ortiz hasn't defeated a top HW.

Obviously. Jennings is not world level.

How much of Ortiz have you watched? It's not just his power, when it comes to skills the guy is levels above Jennings. His amateur record was like 340-19 and he took gold at the world amateur championships. Really fast hands for a HW, great technique and throws every punch in the book. Wlad doesn't hit 'way harder' than Ortiz, he might have the edge over him power wise but Ortiz won't be fighting cautious like Wlad did, he also mixes his shots up way more than Wlad. I'll be very surprised if Jennings goes the distance, and if he does he'll have been thoroughly outboxed

I hate Cotto but his accomplishments before facing Margarito were incredibly impressive and he's a very talented fighter.
I hate Rigondeaux but he's one of the most skilled fighters I've seen, and is a brilliant ring general.
I hate Khan but his combinations and hand speed are pretty amazing.

Now let's see if you can man up and say one good thing about the man who's been World Heavyweight Champion for the last 10 years.:think

About 5 matches but most of them were around 1 or 2 rounds, I'm not saying he's not skilled but people underrate Jennings a little too much on here.

Jennings is a solid guy but he took up boxing late and doesn't have the same kind of schooling or anything to trouble Ortiz with from what I can see. If anyone's underrated it's Ortiz, its a shame he's already 36 but I think he can still give any active HW including Wlad a tough, tough fight.

This fight would be a great way to test both guys. HW division needs match ups like this.

    He's not underrated , he's overrated.

He has no amateur backround and it shows. His skills are raw and under developed. He's learning on the job.

At this level he is still unable to turn his jab out to maximise his reach advantage.
He should have a Liston type jab - instead he has no jab at all.

His reach advantage which is one of his best assets actually hampers him. Can't turn his shots over and can't shorten them up to bang on the inside.
Thats is why he is a pillow puff puncher with a low KO %.

People think athleticism passes for boxing skills these days. Ortiz would have dismantled him. Thats why it ain't happening.
