I've been watching some highlights and i have to say Charles Martin stands no chance. Maybe it might go to the cards if he fights to survive but no way is he beating Ortiz
Do you realize boxing doesn't work that way? Wladimir Klistchko was destroyed by a old Corrie Sanders but eventually became heavyweight champion of the world. Lennox Lewis got knocked out by Oliver McCall. The same McCall who lost to Tony Tucker, Buster Douglas and Orlin Norris before hand. Gerald Wasington knocked out Robert Helenius who beat Kownacki. But Kownaki beat Gerald Washington. But Charles Martin lost to Kownacki but Martin beat Gerald Washington.
What name is more of a joke in heavyweight boxing "Prince" Charles Martin or Everett "Bigfoot" Martin?
PBC's bar for PPV-worthiness could not possibly get lower. I'm shocked they put Morrell vs Fox on free TV, I'd like to thank Al Haymon! I'd rather pay to watch Ortiz try and pass a real medical screening. "Sir we've tried every blood pressure cuff we have, I don't think that's the problem."
Muhammad Ali failed his blood pressure check the day of the first Liston fight. They said his blood pressure was off the charts high. Joe Frazier spent weeks the hospital with high blood pressure after Superfight 1. Some athletes have high blood pressure from a very early age. Can you imagine if they'd cancelled Ali's first fights with Liston and Frazier because one of them had high blood pressure? Hell, there probably wouldn't have been a first Frazier fight if Ali never fought Liston. I'm sure Luis can take care of himself, high blood pressure or not. No one has given him much trouble except the champ in their first fight, and still Luis had a pretty easy time of it in their rematch until he caught. He's very good. If Luis Ortiz doesn't look good in this fight it will be the first time that's happened.
Ortiz continues to find ways to not fight top level opposition. There is no mid ground with him. It's either get KO'd by Wilder, or fight scrubs. Hrgvic, Hernandez, Chisora, Parker, Helenius, Pulev etc.
