I would watch it, you would have to think a fully recovered Solis takes him pretty easily. Far to technical for him.

I give the win to Ortiz. I've seen Rodriguez fight a handfull of times live and I'm not impressed with this hype job. He is a big strong dude but lacks a lot of technique and skill. He's been feed a strict diet of bums.

rodriguez must be a great negotiator if he can get solis to blow him.....maybe the money for that can get him a golden patrick around his neck

I'm the klithugger who said that Solis has ducked Rodriguez. As has Price, Banks, Harris, Mitchell, Austin, Estrada, and many many many more.

Yeah, he's only beaten a few C class fighters, but Boystov carries the same rep, as does Solis, as does Banks, etc etc etc.

Rodriguez mgmt has been making calls for years now trying to get him bigger fights, but for some reason, the other promoters won't let their fighters near him, and he ends up fighting the likes of Owen Beck.

Ty Cobb is fighting Witherspoon next month.....big deal right....well, Ty Cobb was scheduled to fight el NINO in Feb, but guess what, he backed out, a week before fight night, forcing David to fight Matt Hicks as a replacement.

This is sad because Rodriguez is trying to get these fights all these years, while we're hyping guys like Solis who refuses to even go near Rodriguez.

I wish Ortiz would step up to fight rodriguez in Oct, and when he's brutal;ly KTFO, maybe Kid Cubano would consider why Solis hides from el NINO.

Hope both fighters get involved in a decent fight soon. Both need to get into the ring with a top 40 fighter

Not likely for Rodriguez. He calls out everyone for 5 yrs now, and sends letters, emails, phone calls, and gets guys like TY Cobb ducking him. Thenm Cobb goes and fights Chazz for less $$$.

Solis has already fought a K2, and was a complete disgrace. How bout Solis finally steps in with a top 100 b4 he gets another title shot.

Should he decide el NINO is that guy, he'll be brutally KTFO, and that's why Solis has no interest, and quite frankly, that's why Rodriguez can't get a fight. Too much risk, NO reward.

War el NINO...... the BEST HW in the WORLD aside from a Klitschko, and that is still to be seen.:hi:

I hope you´re not serious with that ****. I´ve seen Rodriguez and he has a lot of power, but his defense is terrible and he isn´t the fastest guy around. Any decent heavy would beat him imo.

eventually you dont know how professional boxing promotions works..let me give you a hint:
a white HW- of mexican origin on top-undefeated is probably the most marketable fighter in the world. If your Nino was so good, it doesnt matter who is afraid of him, he will get right away the best deals with HBO or showtime and fighting him will include a decent paycheck.Names like Barret,Austin(both beaten by Solis)Johnson,Arreola(another mexican HW who already fought for a title)will be in line, craving for a fight with this dude.Arum,GBP and Don King will kill for having this guy on their stables.
But your Nino has been hidding in a dark spot for more than 11 yrs, fighting nobodies instead of pushing for a decent competition.
Your rumors of solis ducking him are only that, rumors.Solis team-people that im in contact with-never have been approached for a serious fight against Rodriguez.

I think it would be easy to get a tv fight for Rodriguez. If he is calling out the big names it aint neccessary what his management want. They obviously want to protect him and throw him in when he is 35-0 or something like that and get a payday

I think that Ortiz would have a pretty easy time with Rodriguez and stop him around the third round.
