WBC 2 vs WBC 5? Good fight? Relevant fight? Can't see it ending well for Parker though. Ortiz UD.

Lol Parker by KO. Ortiz is getting older/worse by the fight and a contender away from retirement. Its hard to believe Parker is still only 26. In 4/5 years when he hits his peak hes going to be retiring the current top guys of the division.

Naa, i just saw Ortiz plodding and following Kauffmann around in circles for 10 rounds with the crowd booing throughout. He looked exhausted after the first. His legs are shot and agility is fading badly. Next contender he faces he gets relegated to gatekeeper lane.

Doesn't sound good. Keep in mind though, Parker couldn't outbox Whyte, green Fury or Andy Ruiz. Unless he's improved dramatically 39 yr old Ortiz takes it imo. 40 yr old Ortiz is another story lol.

I have Ortiz outpointing Parker on fair cards, Parker would need the KO IMO. Even against lowly opposition tonight Parker took a lot of punishment. He's very much a take 2 punches to give 2 punches type, and it's not changing until he changes trainer. He needs to be able to create offense another way than just walking forward swinging.

Pretty sure he beat, outlanded and outboxed both Fury and Ruiz. Whyte fight was very close, as was Joshua fight. Ortiz hasnt beat anyone since Jennings 3 years ago or anyone of any note for the last 2 years. The only time he has ever fought anyone his whole career with any pop in their punches he got KTFO. Ortiz is a highlight reel KO for a contender like Parker. Parker has been fighting some of the best guys in the division in tough fights over those 2/3 years, he KOs Ortiz in the mid/late rounds.

I would favour Parker on workrate.
Ortiz often doesn't seem the busiest.

I think also it's likely forgotten that Parker has arguably the greater resume

Unless Ortiz has really gotten old he should take this one. I can see wide UD or even late TKO. Parker looked good against Joshua but otherwise he has not been so good IMO.

Personally I wouldnt say he outboxed Hughie Fury or Ruiz. Opinions differ of course. He simply won vs Fury due to optics and Ruiz vs Parker was basically a draw. Whyte simply boxed up to Parker and Parker couldnt figure him out until Whyte got tired and lazy. Add to that Ortiz has reach advantage over Parker and good defense, and is a master counter puncher. Ruiz's counter shots had Parker in all sorts. Parker leaves his head out there for a guy like Ortiz.

With Parkers new found skill set of low blows he will be able to slow Ortiz down late and sqeeke out a UD win.

Joe " Low Blows" Parker for the win. :teeth:

I think Ortiz wins pretty easy, I don't think Parker's heart is in it anymore.

Over the last 2 years, Parker has the best resume in heavyweight boxing bar Joshua.
Lol, believe me, Ortiz wont beat another top 10 fighter in his career. If he was going to, he would have already done it in the past 3 years, instead of fighting push overs hustling cash as Wilders undercard support at almost 40-44 years old. Ortiz is at the stage of his career where he is just waiting for a good paycheck to be an opponent. No one beats age.

Late come from behind TKO for Parker.

Ortiz cant fight 12 rounds any longer at aged 134, and Parker is durable and able to be active for the full 12.

Ortiz easily, wide decision or perhaps TKO.
