    Vargas scores a left hook early and rocks Ali, whose right eye is nearly swollen closed. Ali is on unsteady legs, covering up, elbows tucked into his belt, loading up on a few single right hand leads while retreating. Vargas is chasing him down. Ali put in a corner. Vargas blasting away. BIG 1-2's by Vargas. Ali clinches. Uppercut inside by Vargas. BIG 1-2 by Vargas again, down goes Ali. The ref gives Ali quite a lot of recovery time, distracted while administering the count and then while performing his "faculties check", glancing about the ring. BIG RIGHT HAND BY VARGAS! That'll do it.
