    Vargas is coming forward and reaching in with long jabs and torpedo crosses on the body. Ali is retreating and throwing waterwheel rights behind a lightly flicked jab, not getting there. Vargas scoring repeatedly on the body with straights. Counter uppercut by Ali. 1-2 by Ali, blocked with Vargas countering on the breadbasket. Ali scores a couple of looping rights on the jaw to put Vargas on the ropes, but not enough to steal it.
