Luis Ortiz - Achieved nothing so far, will achieve nothing in the near future, will be forgotten in 3 years.

Surprised people are shocked by this. Ortiz works under Haymon, the bomb squad carefully handpicked this opponent, lol.

Joe Joyce. Hes fighting on the same card apparently, has been calling Ortiz out, same managers/promoters, easy fight to make. Joyce is ranked by 2 of the major world boxing organisations. Ortiz dont want no smoke, hes hanging around for a cashout payday. Kauffman? Please, theres plenty of fights Ortiz handlers could have made, but they didnt.

Kownacki, Joyce and Whyte all called Ortiz out.
Breazeale would fight him too if Haymon ordered it.

This is a **** poor fight, classic Haymon.

I am shocked....SHOCKED...that they couldn't entice Tye Fields back into the ring
for Ortiz to feast on. SHOCKED I say.

Unfortunately for Ortiz he brings nothing to the table. Even Tyson Fury back in 2015 after beating Wlad said he'd never fight Ortiz, since Ortiz brings no money, no following, or no title, and Ortiz is old, so he seen no benefit in fighting and beating him. If he beats Ortiz he beat an old man and if he loses to Ortiz he lost to an old man.

Fury back then also said the only top fighter crazy enough to fight Ortiz and risk losing to a very skilled Ortiz for almost no money was Wilder, which turned out to be true, since he said Hearn was too smart to risk Joshua against Ortiz when he can keep taking in money on Joshua against much less risky opponents that bring in both a bigger audience and money.

He had a shot at him before the Joshua fight and that is why I said that I really don't blame him for taking the higher profile fight.

I haven't heard about any call out from Joyce but I do know that Ortiz ducks no one. He never has to my knowledge.

    As Halloween's coming,
    I looked under the bed,
    Who should I see,
    Munching a PED,
    But Luis Ortiz,
    The feared boogeyman,
    Preparing to face,
    Travis Kauffman,

    I'll admit I was scared,
    Who wouldn't be right,
    What if Ol Luis,
    Wanted to fight?
    But then I saw something,
    That left me with elation,
    The boogeyman had no,
    blood pressure medication,

Your knowledge must be pretty thin, all you have to do is google "Joyce calls out Ortiz" and you will see endless articles and youtube videos about how Joyce has called out Ortiz and wants to bash him up to make a statement. Ortiz could have fought numerous top level heavyweights, he didnt, he could have fought Joyce who is trying to get a fight on the same card, he didnt, he could have fought Amir Mansour, the guy who beat Kauffman, he didnt, instead, hes being protected and fighting another no name, because guys like Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce will mop the floor with him and make Wilders #2 heavyweight look like an old journeyman.

Wlad sidestepped him? You mean Wlad simply fought someone else? You make it sound like he avoided him... he sidestepped him in the same manner he sidestepped every other heavyweight to fight Joshua, as in, he didn’t sidestep anyone.

Joshua had two mandatories, and I believe the Pulev one was first in line. I could be wrong though.

I’ll agree that in general he is an avoided fighter, but it’s not because fighters are scared of him, but rather he’s a high risk, low reward fighter. In the same way Ortiz won’t want Joyce. He won’t be scared of him, but what’s fighting Joyce going to do for Ortiz? It’s high risk, low reward. But for Joyce, given his situation, fighting Ortiz is decidedly a high reward.

Honestly Ortiz isn't fighting anyone who will remotely trouble him unless he lucks into a Wilder re match.. I can't see him fighting AJ for some reason other than he thinks Wilder will be an easier fight..

He would have fought AJ by now if he stayed in the other divisions rankings but went the easier option..

Everyone one think he is this avoided monster but I think he is the one doing the avoiding...
