"I'm going against whoever it is and whoever I want. Now there's a lot of talk about Mike Tyson's return. If he wants to, I'll even go against him. " What would your thoughts be on the fight
Mike stops Ortiz quick. Mike stops Wilder as well he’d cave his body inside out , the only guys that pose more problems are Fury, AJ and Hrgovic.
I think it would be a pretty equal fight considering the ages. I just think mike needs to dip his feet in the exhibitions side of things for a year then take the full on plunge against any & all comers!
Well since he is the only active heavyweight that I know of that is actually older than Tyson, why not? Back in the day him and Teofilo Stevenson used to watch early Tyson fights and say: "This kid could be somebody some day."
That’s pathetic. No top 20 HW should challenge Tyson to a fight. The guy is old as hell ffs. But then again, so is Ortiz.
Ortiz is old....but. He has been more active than Tyson. Ortiz by ko before the end of round 4. well, if Ortiz takes his high blood pressure meds.
Luis Ortiz should fight Charr for the WBA 'regular' belt. He'd win it in pretty quick fashion. And he'd put himself in a mandatory position.
Ortiz should fight Ruiz, Povetkin, Pulev or Charr for the belt. He's in a very bad position now, retiring is close I think and the whole corona crisis took him many important months. I still can imagine AJ fighting Ortiz in a USA comeback fight, but yeah probably Oritz needs an impressive tune up performance. Fighting Mike Tyson doesn't make sense, only if the money gained is huge.
He holds the WBA World Champion title, not the WBA Super Champion though. It's not much worth maybe, but still a world title. It's the same belt Povetkin once held.
We saw in the two fights against Wilder that Ortiz only has 6 rounds in the tank these days. Mike gassed in his last major fight against Lewis after 2-3 rounds, but is maybe in better shape now ironically. So I would see this as a good veterans exhibition match, over 6 rounds. I would give Ortiz the edge of course to get a stoppage but both are grandfathers
Not really sure this is fair Luis...... Considering you were 60 during tysons prime... Kudos on out lasting him though you valiant tortoise looking warrior
