Wladimir Klitschko's last fight was one year ago 11-28-2015. Now Luis Ortiz will be the best active heavyweight out there. He's 1# in boxrec.
I'd favor him over Joshua and Wilder, I think Ortiz is the man to shatter their suspect glass jaws. Povetkin stops Ortiz though. So Povetkin might be the 1#, Ortiz 2#, then Joshua 3# and Wilder 4#.
He could shatter any of the top heavies jaws if they let him hit them flush. But he did show a little bit of weaknesses in the Scuba Scott fight despite dominating damn near every round, but if youre guys like Wilder or Joshua who are pretty athletic and can probably match Ortiz in power and take his power, you may be able to out box him and take him into deep waters, especially if he can't cut the ring off or show the urgency to take risks to land his shots. Imo.
The heavyweight division is terrible. Fury and Klitschko definitely deserved to be dropped from all top 10 lists now. And what's left ? Maybe the whole top 10 should be declared vacant.
Only until Dec 10th when Joshua blasts Molina out in the 1st, while Ortiz goes the distance with Dave Allen.
Just goes to show how weak the HW is at the moment, I mean the top 15 on boxrec includes: Chisora Hammer Molina Martin Scott None of these, imo, are good enough p4p to be top 15 in another division.
