This is no doubt the toughest fight for both fighters. Wilder is the puncher and Ortiz is clearly the boxer. I see a lot more upside for Ortiz as we know he can also pop and he likes to showcase his variety and punch selection as Cubans do. Obviously his defence isn't the greatest.
Can't see this fight happening tbh. Why would Wilder choose to fight someone who is high risk / low reward and isn't his mandatory anyway? Especially considering Wilder's track record as somebody who avoids fighting anyone decent. If it was ever to happen, I think Ortiz would stop him mid rounds. Wilder is such an average fighter other than his power and Ortiz will be able to counter Wilder all night long.
ortiz's team hit the nail on the head. wilder is just calling them out because conveniently he know he'll fight stiverne instead.
